Just a lonely keyboard,
Where once your fingers stirred.
Making lovely memories,
speaking kindly words.
The lights they have been lowered,
no music to be heard.
The curtain falls into place,
to rest there undisturbed.
Even Taera who we grew to love,
will no longer proudly fight.
Beside us in the lands of lore,
magic, war and might.
I know the sun will dawn again,
but not so brightly shine.
It lost a sparkling golden ray,
to fate before its time.
So for now goodnight my dear,

I think everyone here is too upset to even care. All we know is we lost a key person in the MMO community.

I didn't even like Laura to be honest... but I think her death really hurts MMORPG.com even after she was no longer the CM here. Dana would've been bad to see go too.

I actually got to meet Dana several times both on a professional and personal level... drove him to the airport after his visit at Rapid Reality when I worked there. it'd just strike a little more home I guess...

Here is what , I am not sure but I do know that she posted at CCP at 4:15pm 8/12 Austin time before and she was supposed to represent the company next week in Settle Wa at the Penny Arcade Con.
Its easy to guess that her passing was sudden and came without a medical warning perhaps accidental.

Guys, can we please stop the speculation on this matter, as well as the questions about it. I understand people are curious, but the answers people are looking for are either unavailable, or being witheld for good reasons. If it makes people feel any better, the staff of the site have access to the same amount of information that you have.
Continuing to post about this is only going to fuel speculation and will only serve to upset people. A lot of people are trying to deal with the death of a collegue/friend/family member. Im very sure if any of you were in the same situation, the last thing you would want to do is answer questions on the matter itself, especially if you have no real information to pass out.
Please leave this matter to rest now, im sure people will get the answers they want if and when the time is right for this information to be passed along, and if Laura's family decide it is for the best to pass tjhis on. However for the time being please be respecful of the situation, and post in a manner which fitting to the memory of Laura.
