DAoC is way better ,imo.
Someone who plays 1 hr a day can achieve the same as someone who plays 20 hrs a day.
I believe you should get out of MMO's what you put into them.
I can play Counterstrike and get the same PVP fix.
Watered down (easymode) RVR is not my idea of a good pvp end game in a MMO. WoW was absurd ,I can understand that but, WAR is absurd in that some nobody joe that plays a few times a week for an hr is the same as you in just a few more days if that.
At least in DAoC you had to earn RR. WAR is fair to everyone and thus it dumbs down RVR ,imo.
Everyone is the same! Its gonna boil down to what class is FOTM and youll have full Battlegrps of them.
They built it this way cause they think its easier to balance out PVP ,what they have done instead is dumb the endgame down.

Why must people be given more rewards for simply loggin on longer?
In RvR its a test of personal skills, organisation, and tactics. Its not PvE. Longer hours grinding human beings will not give u more xp or whatever. You fight well, you get kills, you get credit.
Pls be more specific about your complain. I have no idea how RvR is watered down. Or, actually I have no idea what you are rambling about.

This game is more for someone who has 2 hrs a day max to play. Not 40 hrs to form a group and then play to get that epic pointless piece of equipment...
What it all boils down to is, are you having fun? If the answer is no then move on, dont spam the forums with pointless crap.

WAR RVR is not gonna be repeative and borring after awhile? If you think not, I can point you to many other sources with probaly more MMO experience than you that would disagree.

Are you trying to say that rare loot is a good thing? And, if so, that WAR doesn't have any?
WoW has rare loot in terms that you can do the same stupid tier 6+ raid for weeks and never win the item roll. So, why doesn't that impress you?

That's funny. In a game that you can pretty much buy anything you want with Bounty Points now.. anyone can get anythnig they wish. Of course, the only problem is - with the low populations it's the same people playing night in and night out which makes it impossible for the new player to even remotely catch up unless they get into one of the few more active guilds. Plus - well .. fighting the same people over and over every night get's boring. If I wanted that.. I would load up .. let's see.. Counterstrike. *smirk*
Smart ass comments aside, I prefer DAoC RvR ten fold over WAR. But, the server population indicates that most people disagree.
I like the fact that if I only have an hour or 2 to play, I can go out and have some fun in RvR. Also, if I want to play 8 hours, I can do the same. Just like daoc was in that aspect. I could find rvr no problem if I only had like an hour to spare.
The only thing I do agree about with the OP is that daoc was better, but not for his jumbled reasons. Daoc and War play the same in respect to time, gear needed etc, but the main difference is the 3 realms vs 2. there was more chaos in daoc when as a mid, I was killing albs with some friends, then some hibs decide to join the party. And when you came out of that alive, wow, what a feeling, hehe.
War is still fun and I've played in all tiers, but its missing that special chaos a 3rd realm adds. Of course there are some better things like PQs. I love them. I can't get enough. I swear I do every one I come by.
Oh, one other thing, in this like daoc, I feel no rush to level up fast. I have fun in all the tiers. It is not like some games where it is like "okay, I need to hurry up and get to the end game so I can have some fun."

Rare loot from PVP is what Im talking about ! I could give a crap less about a large raid (pve). they do have their place but, it should not get out of hand.
Guilds that get alot acomplished and are better than alot of other guilds should have access to legendary type weapons from goals met on the battlefield ..etc

The easymode selfsuficient classes they made for WAR seems to be pretty selfish to and not teambased.
They had to dumbdown class/combat mechanics for the noobs. The same noobs who would be standing out front of Drum Ligen and Frontiers DL or SF begging for a grp and not getting one.
I'm in a 200 man Guild for WAR, Im just wondering how long its gonna be before it gets borring.

We don't need any more noobs in Hello Kitty! Frustrating enough getting a competent group together!
Anyways, this is a perk to me. Though i do well in wow pvp, with or without the gear. A game that keeps it more competitive without having to sacrifice my firstborn is a big plus.

Your complaint seem to be that it's fair to everyone? I'm not sure how that can be considered a bad thing. Also to say that someone playing a hour a day gets the same as someone playing 20 hours a day is insane and plain stupid. Getting to RR 80 isn't going to be a walk in the park, it will more then likely take countless hours.
And is it really any suprise that theres going to be a FOTM of month class and they weill be overplayed?

And how does this compare to DAoC? Unless they changed something in the past year since I left, I don't remember jumping up and down for joy screaming "Yes! I just pulled an epic lamenated reinforced Arcanium weighted balanced enhanced enchanted overdescribed sword of dwarf troll norse frostalf valkyn kobold slaying +1 from that guy!"
But - In WAR, I have already picked up Blue equipment from player corpses on a rate of atleast one play session per night. Not exactly rare, but hey... most people HATED leveling in DAoC. That's what all the xp changes in the RvR battlefield were all about 2-3 years ago. In WAR, you can not only level in RvR, but you can find equipment too.
Well seeing as you get 5 more mastery points and we able to pick more stats and resists, plus special armor dyes along with trophys for your armor. And various other rewards for getting up there, I think it will be well worth it, it dosen't need to be a stat increase, the top players will get statues with thier names on it in the city, and i'm sure there will be alot more bonuses to be had.

OP : you are obviously not in beta. Nor does what you say make any sense. PvP always boils down to player skill even with imbalance.

Counterstrike still has tons of people playing the same maps they had in the beginning. When will people get bored of those? Same thing applies to WAR. When you get bored of one area you move to another. Not to mention all the different scenarios and eventual city sieges.
How long will it take to get bored? Hopefully long enough that we will have an expansion coming out. Since it isn't blizzard we can expect at least 1 expansion a year.
Time does not equal skill. You need to unlearn your WoW mentality of everything must takes months to achieve, regardless of ability.
