So I was bored one day and finally decided to give EVE a shot. Was considering purchasing the game at one point a while back but never went through with it. Noticed they had a free trail going which was great. Was even happier to find it was only a small download. : D
After getting used to the basics of the game, I will say that getting the EVE trial was one of the best gaming decisions I have made in some time. This is by far the most fun I have had in MMO's and RPG's in a long time. I think mainly because it's so unique and such a refreshing change to the same old stuff you get now days. I really enjoy the combat, as it's realistic, it looks great and sounds great too. I will admit, at first it was extremely overwhelming and EVE is probably the most complex game I have ever played. As I said I have only learnt the very basics, so it's gonna get a hell of a lot more confusing hehe.
I heard some really good thinga about the graphics in this game, and I will admit I wasn't too impressed at first. That changed once the graphics update was installed. Now the ships look very impressive. I was told to do my research before trying out EVE but I figured since they have the free trial going, might as well give it a shot, and im very glad I did. Was close to buying lineage 2 yesterday, but now I wont have to. It's only been a few days but I think I will be subscribing to EVE. Just wanted to share my thoughts on the game and tell people who are considering trying it out, to go ahead and download the trial. It's definatley worth it!!! Hopefully see you in EVE. Oh and by the way, I heard it's a really good idea to join a friendly corp or clan so if there are any friendly and helpful ones, looking for new players, I would love to join. Thanks for reading.

Well I'll be honest with ya, since I am so new to the game I have no idea what kind of corp I want to join and dont have any idea about the differences between F1, F2, F3, etc. Thanks for reading and replying to my post though.
First, Welcome to EVE!
Second, sometimes you have to ignore cosy... hes been hitting the sause lately it seems
I have two suggestions: Start corp hunting asap and visit the Eve-O forums. A good corp to look at is Eve University (http://www.eve-ivy.com/). They take in new players and train them in the ways of Eve. Also, the Eve-O forums are a good source of information. Just stay away from the CAOD forums... thats where all the people who should be locked up in padded rooms hang out.
If cosy's reply means what i think it means its quite a good way to ask for what kind of corporation the OP is looking
hehehe np if u can get it
mining ships only have 3 HS that means only have F1 F2 F3
BestSigEver :P
Ive been doing the free trial too... and I can mirror most of the OP's sentiments
not quite sure if I will subscribe though,.. maybe I need to find a good Corp to seal the deal.
Well, for yourself or the OP, if you need help getting going and want some ingame advice, contact myself ingame (Tyr Dominator)or the guy I let run my EvE Corp ingame (Megaice) and we'll get you set up and started and work out where you should be going
Cya ingame
Indeed I got the trial 6 days ago but i wont be subscribing until my trial is up. Since i don't feel like playing a polished version of WoW, think i'll just be a space pirate.
Awesome. Glad to see many people are agreeing with me. Having such an easily accessible trial version of the game was a brilliant idea. I have noticed the in game chat is always going full of newbies asking questions and having a blast. Also this is one of the few, really challenging and risky games I have played in quite some time. Having just 1 servers is great and it's such a huge/open space to explore. The most freedom I have had in any game ever!!! Hearing about all these geatures coming soon is getting me even more pumped. The idea of walking around in space stations and such will be awesome. The only great sci-fi/space/ship game out!!!! Thanks for reading and replying guys.
Welcome to Eve, hope you enjoy your time. And if you ever visit low sec I look forward to separating you from your ship.
Seriously, one thing I can offer is don't get too attached to anything, at some point you will lose it, and you don't want to be one of those guys whining on the Eve-O forum about PvP in a PvP centric game. Its been said a million times but its true, you are never safe, and don't fly what you can not afford to lose.
