and ROFL at an Age of Conan fan-turned-hater criticising ANYONE about misinterpreting a game. The only person that got DONE here is YOU, lol. you have ZERO credibility.

You're just getting overly technical so you can sound right.  Kind of like how Tasos is always overly vague so he can always sound right.

Hinting at a release date is just as bad as actually saying it will be out on this day and year. There's really no difference. People take it as being official if it comes from the developers.

No, I'm not stupid: I read what is SAID not what I want to BELIEVE like all the trolls continually do.

Until the developers get serious about releasing this game, all these arguments about the game (both For and Against) are pointless. And no, "sometime in 2008" is not serious.

What 6 videos? There's only two videos that are even worth mentioning. And both of which look like early Alpha stuff with the about 5% of gameplay in them...  some basic combat and some horses walking around.

How the fuck does that equate to anything resembling a finished game with the features that Darkfall has listed?

It's not hilarious. It's a fact that you can't seem to handle for some reason.

If you take ALL the media (screenshots plus videos) ever released it does not add up to anything more than maybe 4-6 months worth of development time to produce. Hell I'll even say a full year.

    Scary right???

  • javacjavac Member Posts: 1,175

Did you buy Age of Conman? Yes? Well you got DONE.

While Age of Conman was being hyped and gullible fans like you swallowed their pre-rendered videos and blatant lies about finished features (that still aren't in the game), Darkfall developers have been quietly working away, with every single person on the team actually working on the game.

finally, you can't say that DF has ever missed a release date because there have never BEEN an official release date until now.

and what planet are you from again sir...
1: 2008 is NOT a official date...the term of "official date" in gaming requires a month AND a day to be specified. when a dev says "2008" its a escape plan...so when things dont go their way they can easily go thru the end of the year feeling safe since they never promised a firm date to release this year.
2: ROFL!!!!!!! in the 8 years they have been developing this game...yes...they have said the same thing almost year after year.

2008 is an official date, or 23:59 31st December 2008 if you prefer that, either way, get over it, there's an official date.
Please provide a link to where Aventurine has EVER given an official date before. You can't, because they haven't.

But hey, you're a troll, why use facts when you can just make stuff up, right?

and i quote from the following link:

"Darkfall Online is a persistent state world that will be the largest ever created. It has a fantasy-based setting and is currently scheduled to be released in early 2003."

    http://pc.ign.com/articles/380/380319p1.html

    but hey...ur a troll...wheres ur facts LOL

also even though i did try AoC...dont count me as a fan...a fan plays till the end of their sub....i bought a time card and played for about a week before I uninstalled....did u buy DF and play it yet? no? well...cant assume im something when u dont know the true facts...u werent here when I told ppl that i was buying the game to see if crap from beta actually got fixed...i played to prove that the game was garbage to those around me who were thinking of buying the game...

Not scary, because you don't have any idea of what makes a finished game it seems. It's called a sandbox game because the players provide most of the content, the game just provides the world, and a framework, and that has been 95% demonstrated.

The only big piece that's missing is sieges and clan city building, and that is going to feature heavily in the upcoming August video.

    Fail.

That wasn't written by a Darkfall dev. Link me a quote written by a Darkfall dev that gives an OFFICIAL release date. There isn't one, because they've never given an official release date until now.

Hmmmm.  DF fanboys should not talk about gullibility.

Also, unless you have/do actually work for them you have absolutely no idea who's working on the game or to what extent they are working on the game.

I don't; but i can provide links to dev journals stretching back for 7 years where Tasos and Claus and others TELL US that that's what they've been doing. Not my fault if you can't read.

what will be your excuse for them when they miss this one?  Which they will 100%

sorry but that article is legit, they have always posted what information is given on a game whether it is fact or not...so that being said...2003 was one of their release dates and I know for a FACT that they posted that since I too was following the game at the time...and I am sure there are a few people on these forums that know that as well since its been talked about many, many times...no its not a fail...IGN is legit in all info they present to the readers.

But that's not the point.   Because I'm telling you I have all this fantastic stuff doesn't make it true.  Comprende mi amigo?

You obviously haven't played many games SOE has published.  The game doesn't have to be GOOD for them to publish it.

In all actuality though I've been waiting for someone else to pick up Darkfall if Adventurine doesn't go through with it.  SOE of course was my first bet, and I wouldn't care whether or not SOE picked it up as long as the game launched.

Killxen are you trying to be a jerk or what?  You're going way out of the way to be rude for no reason.
