Why should you play Eve?

Hi folks,

I have been in Eve since beta. I logged into the live servers May 10, 2003 and since then I have 92 skills and 11,823,734 exp points. At the start Eve had some serious issues that carried over from Beta, And some of them are still there. CCP has been slowly cleaning up the server and the clients with patch's. At times the down time and the hardware upgrades have left the game unstable. Patch day can be a nightmare as well. And their have been times that I have wanted to walk away.

BUT with the friends that I have made in this game and the content and updates that have come in...its made it all worth it!!!

I was in a "carebear" corporation at the start of my time in Eve. I was then podded by one of the more notorious Pirates in game. This led me to want to seek revenge. but up to that point I had no PvP skills at all. When I was recruited by Black Omega Security I jumped at the chance to learn to fight. My first PvP battle left me shaking with adrenalin! I was unprepared for that day and I got my ship shot out from under me, but I stuck with it. And I learned.....And now I am one of the most feared pilots out of the Curse Alliance....I am not the best Pvper and I don't claim to be but my point is I carved out a nitch for me and I am respected by my peers as well as my enemy's.

There is nothing wrong with starting out small in this game. doing agent missions untill you have learned enough skills to be effective at what ever you decide to do in this game. You can be anything.

YES it does take time like any other MMORPG to learn. And EXP is not earned by killing or hunting...its earned by training skills in real time. If you buy a skill book and learn it you start at level 1, it might take you 10 min to learn a skill at level 1 and then to train it to level 2 might be 30 min to an hour and so on. untill you max that skill at level 5. And so you must be on top of training your next skill when one completes its training cycle.

I can fly any ship up to a battleship. but I still prefer to fly Frigates and cruisers. most pilots start out just flying Frigates. no pilot should be in a battleship unless they have at least 4 million exp points. and most of those points should be in starship engineering and electronics and gunnery.

The Learning Curve that you will have to go through is worth it in the long run. you may never catch older players in EXP or wealth but you will not have to make the adjustments that older players have had to deal with as Eve is ever changing and becomming more BALANCED then any other MMORPG that I Have played! I Can't say enough of my time in Eve. And My Alliane members and Corp mates would say the same thing.

COME and JOIN US!!! feel free to drop me a line when you do. I will try my best to answer any questions you might have. Eve mail me first as I might be in a fight and don't want Convo's popping up in the middle of battle.
