It is sad that you don't want to hear all the views on the game. This is really all about ensuring that your are well informed about the state of the game and issues with the game prior to you investing your money and time. Read it absorb it and take it for what it is. At least you go into the game with no false allusions about the state of the game. I still think it is a worthwhile investment for the gameplay from 1-40.
So enjoy the game and remember the fanbois and the haters are all your friends helping you to be informed. How can you be upset about that!?!

AOC is the worst game in the history of games. Thats my opinion and i'm sticking to it (and yes I played it and got to 80). Bashi Failcom and AOC is only fun thing about them.

That's the purpose of this board. Every opinion posted here doesn't have to be glowing reports about the game. People come here to get some ideas about the game - some of those are represented here, but the good and the bad.
In the end, AoC will get the reputation is deserves.
They Spend there money on the hopes that they will get some thing in return, in this case fun.
One of two things happen.
One the funcon`ee realise`s that the table is fixed and they were never going to win in the first place and stops placeing bets and starts letting others know its a scam.
Two the funcon`ee cannot handle the fact they have been scammed and keep thinking well im going to keep putting bets down each month as ill get lucky soon.
I have never "flamed" a game on a public forum ever. However, after my experience with Funcom and AoC, the details of which anyone can search and discover for themselves before buying the game, I realized an important point needed to be advertised. That point is:
If game developers are allowed to pull on the public what Funcom did with AoC, then we are all in for a dismal future with MMO's. Whether other game developers will follow suit because Funcom got away with it is to be said. Hopefully, the truth will be discovered by many gamers who do demand delivery of a certain level of respect to their bread and butter customers. More so I hope that other developers will learn from Funcom's misdirection, lies, and mistakes and bring a higher level of values to the deservings of gamers worldwide.
The actions of Funcom should not be held lightly. Discover for yourself and demand it never be repeated by anyone, any developer, or any game in the future. Let your voice be heard and let others speak or it may repeat over and over again.

Problem with posting here on the MMORPG.com forums for AoC is if you actually like the game it strikes a bad nerve with the naysayers. They have a right to express thier views but it turns into namecalling like getting called a fanboi, funcom bribee, or some other idiotic name. Sad thing is if you tell ppl to please stop they just call you a whiner to divert attention from themselves because they dont want to stop preaching to the choir or want to keep beating the dead horse.
Lots of ppl know there are major problems with the game. I personally didnt care much for the game and moved on. i made one post a while back about what i didnt like and moved on. When you read these forums its the same thing said time after time, after time..... Maybe some of the negative repliers can do something more constuctive like going to work for funcom and change things from within or better yet get a programming degree and make a better MMO. Some ppl just love to complain.....sigh.....

I really was excited about this game. I couldnt wait till it game it so as many others I feel spurned by what we got. Loads of missing content, (bar brawling quests beyond 60 items....pvp siege which wasnt working when I was playing) The game was really buggy filled with broken quests and game breaking bugs gamebreaking bugs funcom refused to address, rollback, hot fix or do anything about for weeks. And according to their forums they still wont address many. The class balance didnt exist but it sure did look pretty. Fatalities wore thin by the time I left tortage. I never liked tortage I found doing all the single player destiny quests tedious. I play mmos to play with my friends not by myself. But after Tortage it was worse. I started in early access. I didnt re up I canceled billiing and removed my card from the site. I stopped playing before my time was up. Age of Conan sucks if you wont take our word for it go in and find out foryourself why entire guilds are leaving and whole servers are ghost towns. BTW dont mention any bugs you find on the forums. Failcom doesnt care. They will just delete the thread.

I stopped playing forgot about it and ecided to check to see if it was in a better state then when I left in june since I cant post on the official forums I decided to ask here and found out it hasnt gotten better. Many of us saw the potential for a great game. Many of us were willing to play an unfinished, and buggy
game. We played through tortage. We celebrated at the greatness of the first 20 lvls. That is after we
figured out that the shaders were bugged, and actually ran better putting all graphics on high then
turning shades off. Once we was running good we marveled at the combat system (which i loved).
Yes the combat system had a bit of a learning curve, but it was fun. Then we left tortage. We looked
around. HOLY SHEEP SHIT. Graphics were good. We started questing. WTF. I'm 35 and I have no
quests in homeland. OH and i have 5 quests in my journal that are bugged and i can't finish. Long
quest that took awhile to do. Well, i suppose i will grind (which i am not opposed to). OUT OF MEMORY.
What I have 6 gigs of memory. Ok i'll reboot. 30 mins later OUT OF MEMORY. Ummmmm.......ok.
Funcom says they are going to put in the pvp xp system this month. Nope. They didn't. OUT OF MEMORY
DAMN. Go to the forums and ask why this not being fixed. Also, why does siege not work. This is a
PVP game right. Get a message saying you have been banned for forums. Well ok then. I really wanted
to like this game. Then I said i'll stick it out a bit longer. Time for the villas. NEEERRRFFF. WTF. Why
they nerf my class. Shouldn't they be fixing OUT OF MEMORY. DAMN AGAIN.

My conclusion. Everybody should play this game. I do mean everyone. Every person should see
for themselves. We all wanted this game to be great. Some of us had very little patience, and didn't
make it 30 days. Others subed 1 or 2x, and the patience wore thin. What is the difference between
those playing now, and the ones that quit? The ones playing now still see the potential. They have
far more patience than the rest.
So Mr. OP try the game enjoy the first 40 lvls. Hopefully the fix more things, and you can enjoy longer
than I did. Always remember though we have reason to hate. Also hate is what made every country
in the world. Without hate the people would never rise up, and say we are here. We deserve to be
heard. If Funcom does folds. Yes i will smile.

I really was excited about this game. I couldnt wait till it game it so as many others I feel spurned by what we got. Loads of missing content, (bar brawling quests beyond 60 items....pvp siege which wasnt working when I was playing) The game was really buggy filled with broken quests and game breaking bugs gamebreaking bugs funcom refused to address, rollback, hot fix or do anything about for weeks. And according to their forums they still wont address many. The class balance didnt exist but it sure did look pretty. Fatalities wore thin by the time I left tortage. I never liked tortage I found doing all the single player destiny quests tedious. I play mmos to play with my friends not by myself. But after Tortage it was worse. I started in early access. I didnt re up I canceled billiing and removed my card from the site. I stopped playing before my time was up. Age of Conan sucks if you wont take our word for it go in and find out foryourself why entire guilds are leaving and whole servers are ghost towns. BTW dont mention any bugs you find on the forums. Failcom doesnt care. They will just delete the thread.

I havent been obsesesing over it either. I stopped playing forgot about it and ecided to check to see if it was in a better state then when I left in june since I cant post on the official forums I decided to ask here and found out it hasnt gotten better. Then I got drawn in cause its really fun to hate on this game.
