Seriously MMO's like WAR are really getting old. When will devs learn to really innovate ? Once again they serve us the same dish we already ate 100 times over. The same old hack and slash system, press 1 to 4 special and a mob die. Go kill 10 random mob, go gather 10 random thing, deliver that thing to this guy.... WOW DING i leveled ....BORING. Why did i ever tought WAR could have been different.
Yeah there is some new things, like the PQ, but even after a while it gets boring. Scenario, just another word for BG, cause it's a WOW BG clone.
Maybe i'm just bored with the whole MMO's genre, no, i dont think so, i'm just tired of playing games that ALL feels the same, all plays the same but with just different names.

Actually if you bothered reading the quest text, it's not "10 random mobs." It's 10 mobs with an actually well written story behind it. And everything pushes the war forward.
Also, if scenarios are a WoW BG clone, then WoW BGs are a DAoC BG clone.....
Also it looks like you haven't set foot in the Open World RvR areas. I think you may want to get up to Keep Sieges before saying there's nothing different. You start being able to siege and take over keeps at Tier 2, so you only have to get to level 12.

Not bored in the least. Enjoying it alot and the keep sieges are where it s at. Those things you mentioned are filler till the sieges and in between.
News flash. All games ARE the same. When's the last time something really innovative happened to FPS or RTS games? It's been the same crap since Doom and Warcraft with only the graphics really improving.
Did you really expect MMOs to be that different?
The thing about WAR is that it's much more of a "game" in the traditional sense than other MMOs. The focus isn't on leveling up - you do it nice and fast. it's about team-based competition. Your team against the other guys, one winner one loser. This game is about fun, not creating some alternate world where you can pretend to exist in place of reality.
If you aren't having fun, don't play. It's that simple.

Then the mean hater guy comes back with calling that guy a fanboi and lists reasons why this game is for losers and the game he plays is much better and he's been playing MMOs since Jesus made the internet and knows Kung Fu...

Daoc BG's were zone's. They weren't instances, the weren't objective based and reset, they were open to any soul willing to enter the map and they all came into the same zone.

I've only played a little of WAR but I have enjoyed what I play but it seems to me that gamers these days are getting more and more bored day by day and finding the smallest faults they can and making themselves not like it,
People knew what WAR would be like before it came out, so if you don't like these type of games then don't play it.
P.S WAR imo has a lot of similarities to WoW imo from the art style to the BGs and to me feels like an evolved WoW maybe even what WoW should've been.
P.S.S I hate WoW with a passion but for some reason like this, might be the classes, it might be the scenarios, I don't know but I did have fun.

Expected more of WAR personally, im a bit disappointed with it as well. I was hopeing to get that daoc feeling again, but it didn't really inspire that feeling..gave a WoW feeling if you ask me.
Think ive lost a little hope for other mmo's in development atm as well.
How far did you get? I don't expect to get that DAoC feel until I get to higher level RvR. I recall DAoC being a PvE/Quest grind until the endgame unless you do BGs. That's not what I think of when I think RvR or DAoC though. Regardless of people saying it's the same old stuff, the confusion and chaos that people are exhibiting in regards to RvR in this game should indicate that it's not the same old stuff. People don't know how to play this game yet. It's a slightly different paradigm to any other game I've played in regards to leveling up. Everything is intermingled and co-dependant and currently there's no focus or direction. That will be up to the players. Give it time.

Warhammer lore is cool and all but, its so '70's -1980's.

There is hundereds of ways you do fantasy massively-multiplayer role-playing games. But almost all developers use the same system.
And i find it realy horrible to see thet the MMO idustrie have made you think there is anly one way....and even got you into defending that rather lame system (compared to the others).
So i agree with the OP. Warhammer have a amazing world, and really deserve a good gameplay system.
when was the last time you saw a true large scale pvp battle aka RvR game besides from DAoC (in fact you can count WoW when it was first released.)
