Ok, Do you think if EQ 2 is released before WoW with bugs it will still get a lot more people subscribing it.? This is if it is llike a month earlier release then WoW. I think they will get a 25% more people releasing before it compared to being released after because I gaurentee either way it will still be buggy at launch. Also I think EQ 2 knows the fans want it out and that they will make a lot more releasing it earlier then WoW. Honestly though do you think it will bring in a lot more people being released around a month earlier?

I think most people have made up their mind about which one they want to play, and some I guess will probably buy both and see which one they like.
Releasing it earlier than WoW will only affect when people who are going to play both will buy and play the game, as people will buy and trial whichever is released first, and it wont neccesarily effect how many people will actually buy it overall.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith
SOE did fine on those MMORPG's granted it was an upset to a lot of people so are a lot of MMORPG's... as far as EQ goes... they have a HUGE advantage on EQ2 because they have such a large foundation to work with... with all the EQlive lore and now the new EQ2 lore... The lore is awesome as it is... being able to play with it in game and discover more as you go will be great... i have no doubt in my mind that EQ2 will be a huge success. WoW looks good, but ive played many MMORPGs and everytime i play it... i think. "Yeah this is alright i guess, but it just doesn't feel like EQ at all" when i think of mmorpg i think of EQ and i wouldn't have it any other way.

Same way I feel every time I think of MMORPGS
I wouldn't think it would make a hill of difference. WoW fans are WoW fans and EQ fans are EQ fans. The only good thing about releasing them months apart is the fact that many people would be able to buy both.
The bad thing is Customer X buys products A in October...see it sucks and then buys product B in November...
So either way it doesnt really matter.
Also, November 15 is only a week before the busiest shopping day of the year in the U.S. so releasing EQ2 in October would be a financial nightmare for them.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
The only think I would worry about if EQ2 is releaced before WoW is that we (the EQ2 community) will end up with many of the childish players that I personaly am hoping will stay with/goto WoW.
The analogy is ok...but its slightly off.
It would be more like ... WoW may have a huge fan base , but WoW is like a porno magazine , you drool , you buy it , getall excited in it , then you flip through the 30 something pages...and are finished with it and have had enough of the small selection of girls in the magazine and throw it in the garbage like the rest of them. Where as EQ2 is like a thick 900 page porno book , it will last long , take forever to get through all of it , and theres so many ladies you'll never get tired of it.

Hehehe... Pr0n phonebook Oh yaaaaaa
I'm just sick of seeing SOE suck the nipples dry from that poor overworked cashcow.
How many MMORPGs do they have now? 3? 4? How many expansions for EQ1? 19?
Come on, enough is enough. One day, they are going to wake up and wonder... where did everyone go? Oh yeah! OUTSIDE and did real stuff.
I mean, SOE is huge and all, but shit... work on the issues at hand before making another damn game... or at least hire more people to be GMs... I remember sending in a "ticket" for SWG and no one ever got back to me.
Come on!!! They make billions of dollars a year, they can answer a fuc*ing request!
What will he do next?

I get the feeling that the Everquest population is way more demanding of perfection than any other game out there. This is SOE's flagship series of games anyway, I would imagine they get it right.
