Naw, I think there is a way this might fit.
As we watch AoC fail, and thus fall in subscription numbers over time, the inverse is true once WAR is released.

What's so bad about that? I full well expect a bevy of WoWnoobs to buy the game, play it for about a week, get gangraped in RvR when they try to be a superhero instead of a team player, claim the game sucks, and walk away. And their box purchases will fund my next two capitals.
Mythic sells WAR boxes like candy. Blizzard gets money from resubs who buy WotLK. WoWnoobs get their self-fulfilling prophecy that WoW is the end-all. I don't have to put up with WoWnoobs, but I get the benefit of Mythic getting their money. Everybody wins.
