It was a good post you did OP. And remember that Darkfall is the only MMO community where the trolls are as into DF as the fanbois is. Almost more i would say, if there is something i wonders about....the trolls is the ones that have the most knowledge about DF. Hence they are often the biggest fanbois.
So its fainbois pretending to be trolls. But often they fail. When you see a real DF troll, your hair stands right up and you feel it in your soul.
Everyone already knows that the out of control fanbois hang out in the official forums. This forum is for objective discussion

How do you know this? have you seen the video, showing all the features in the game? No thats right , they lied again about releasing a comprehensive video.

But in the official forums, they just delete the negative posts. When people post how Tasos said in august of 2003, that beta will begin in a month, they just delete every post over the the last 5 years that mention this.

I want to play this game as much as anyone here. But after being lied to by tasos constantly for 5 straight years, I am very angry. This new lie about the comprehensive video is just the last lie, in string of lies.

Negativity towards Darkfall is accepted at the official forums waaay more than let's say AoC's. However pointless threads are not, i have been on those forums only from about half an year but every thread about Tasos' lies didn't try to start a disscussion, the poster was always just an arrogant prick whose message came down to "i'm right, you're deluded and stoopid lol" and ofcourse his argument was about something that has been discussed millions of times. The thread turns into pointless ranting from both sides like 90% of the threads here and gets locked.
Beta was promised in 2003, so was in 2005. Dumb move, can't deny that. But using it as an argument over and over again just can't start any resourceful disscussion. So can't the comprehensive video, it's still August but they haven't cancelled it yet so we'll just have to sit tight. It was confirmed that it will be pure gameplay, release next week or the "shortly after" everyone is mad about now and that's it, everything else about it is pure speculation from both sides which turns into pointless ranting after 2 minutes.
I can understand that people are pissed off about getting high hopes about beta twice, but this is just not the way.

I dont like the fact tat this have become some kind of popularity contest instead of what it is. People are so used to the developers kissing ass to get popular....even if they dont have a good game in the end.
Aventurine as we know it, doesnt do any ass kissing. They have no interest in your opinion, regarding their development. They say that we only should care about the game, and leave them the ¤#%¤ alone.
But maybe its become more important to have agood PR then to deliever a good game nowdays? So its a good thing Darkfall wont be for everyone to like : )

its not a lie yet. he still has a week left, and he even said in the last post that it will "probably" be released in this last week. Besides its not like people aren't wrong (or in your definition, lie) about stuff all the time. There was a time when everyone would have told you the Earth was flat. I'm pretty sure political candidates are wrong about stuff all the time and we freakin let them lead countries... these guys are just making a game, who cares if they are wrong sometimes or even alot of times, and who cares if they choose not to divulge too much information about their game. They dont ACTUALLY hurt anyone by doing that, other than possibly create a bunch of whiners who are not happy with the fact that theres no information on a game or that they dont meet deadlines.
Shouldn't a good company be capable of doing both? Why is it acceptable to have one, but not the other? Companies should be like a well oiled machine. Not one well geared piece and the other rusted beyond belief. Adventurine doesn't seem to be hurting for money (at least on outside appearance). So is it really unreasonable for them to be capable of both. If they really do have the benefit of not having to answer to anyone. Word of mouth is indeed good PR, but having a good PR department is also good if not better in most cases.

i would id rather have that than them listening to some WoW flaming fanboi talking about how "darkfall is going to fail unless they add X, Y and Z like WoW has."
