I've played the preview weekend, and I've enjoyed playing it. I have only played to level 5 or so, and I've played a shaman and a runepriest so far. I've noticed in the character creation, there are several types of "healers" for each side, some are marked as "ranged healers" even. I was wondering which type of class for order and chaos are the pure healers? I've read discussions about "hybrids" and whatnot, and I just wanted to know from any experienced betas out there if there are any true-blue "healbot" classes, and if so, which for each side?
Thanks for your help.

all range healers can be healtbot. ATM zealots are the weakest rvr healer in game but they have ritual with AP regeneration.
Rune Priest and Zealot would be the closest to "pure" healer you're likely to find on either side.
So the zeal would be better than the shammy? Is that due to insta heals.. or hot?? More info pls?
The Runepriest/Zealot heals, combined with their buffs, make them the strongest healers, but lowest dps. Disciples of Khaine/Warriors Priests would come in second in healing ability, but balance that out with a strong melee ability, so should have a balanced healing and damage output. Shaman/Archmage would be the worst at healing, but strongest in DPS.
The thing with RP/Zealots is that they don't have any sort of trade-off mechanic with their heals...some of the other classes have "power meters" whereby they do damage to increase their healing effectiveness (or vice versa) or accomplish other tasks. This is a very rough description but the important thing to note is neither the Rune Priest nor the Zealot have it. They simply start at full bore and use buffs to augment their groups. By the same token, there's really no ramping up their DPS either. So in that regard they are usually considered the most traditional healer/buffer classes, the others are more hybrid in nature.
Order/Chaos
1) Purehealers: Runepriest > Zealot
2) Support healer: Archmage < Disciple of Khaine
3) DPS healers: Warriorpriest < Goblin Shaman

Right -- this is what I am hearing too.
I am playing an Archmage in the Preview Weekend, and he is definitely a healer, buffer, debuffer and nuker. A fun hybrid who brings a lot to the table.

Please be aware that some of these classes have not received their final balancing passes yet. Expect some changes.

I really cant make up my mind at the moment,I will either be a runepriest or a warrior priest.
The wp's multi tasking does interest me alot, not really sure how the targeting system will work(I havent played yet)I know when you are attcking something then you can cast buffs or heals on a friendly target but do we keep switching targets or can we just set our friendly target to 1 thing,I guess I will find out soon enough.
I am sure I will have 1 of each at some point but still 50-50 which will be my main to start with.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Zealots are much better RvR healers than Shaman imo.
Zealot and Runepriest are pure healers with low DPS. They are great healers in pretty much every situation. I find it very easy to heal through 1 or 2 melee on me with these classes compared to the Shaman/AM.
Shaman and Archmage are healers with ranged DPS. They suffer some when they have to be on the move a lot while healing because they don't have nearly the same options for quick instant heals as the first group unless they are casting dmg spells on a regular basis.
DoK and Warrior Priest are healers with melee DPS. These guys will run out of healing power unless they are front line doing dmg while they heal. They aren't completely useless as a backline healer but they most certainly are not as strong as the other classes in that role.
I agree, for the destro healing role the Zealot is a bit better than the shaman (for the healing), while the Shammy can dish out a little better dmg. I have played both Zeal and Sham and I found that in RvR the Shammy does great healing but I feel that I am not as efficient in the healer role as with the zealot... but you have to play both for a while (well past 10) to really notice it. The shammy is more "fun" to play as there are a little more mechanics to tinker with, that and hes a goofy goblin, thats worth somthing too.
I'm rolling a Zealot, with a Sorc alt. But that gobo reallllly had me tempted. I'll prolly do a Squig Herder 3rd alt down the road.

I also agree that Zealot = heals, Shaman = damage

? from the mechanics I experienced, the warriorpriest and disciple are the mirrors of each other (melee heals) while shaman and archmage are mirrors (ranged nuker/healer). Also, I was under the impression that archmage nukes were stronger than shamans, which does more dotting cc etc
You have two targets, one friendly and one enemy. If you do something beneficial, it hits the friend. Something nasty, it hits the enemy.

Ya thats pretty much spot on. Not sure where Gurtelrose came up with those comparisons
