i played the closed then open beta of L2 and quit the game soon after. been thinking of going back. need something to play till WoW goes retail. how hard it it to break back into the game at this point? when i quit i had a 15 orc fighter.
I would not go back to playing that game. Unless you can buy adena off of ebay and have the best non grade, and then the best d grade, it isn't worth it. It is very very hard to lvl. I had to quit becuase I had a lvl 36 dwarf that was impossible to level up. IMO you'd be better off buying a high level account on ebay.
not that hard, there are still ALOT of new players coming in the game... there are also alot of higher level players who will be willing to help you out...

It would be easy! I have been playing since North American Closed Beta and my highest lvl char is only lvl 20 but I stopped playing him and now I am playing my dwarf lvl 16, You can still see many lower lvl ppl

its not difficult if you can spend a little time just farming some adena. Sure it's a bit of a bore to grind, but find a good clan and you can level up easy.
I've been thinking of coming back. I beta tested for a few months and enjoyed it. When the game was finihsed and released in North America I played for a month but was disgusted by the adena farmers and bots, and the rude players I came in contact with in general.
I liked the gameplay, even though it was repetitive and sometimes boring, I loved the graphics and sound, and the PvP was exciting.
If I had one request to change something about the game, it would be character customization. I hate that everyone looks the same. It is such a shame because the character models and animations are very nice, there are just not enough options to make your character look different, which really ruins the immersive atmosphere of Lineage II.
So I developed my character to level 20 before I quit. I guess I just got burnt out getting there, but I know that if I stayed with it, I may have had a better time with a mid-level character. But I am not the type of player that needs high levels and uber loot to enjoy a game. Unfortunately, Lineage II doesn't seem to be too forgiving to players like me who just want to enjoy the game at my own pace and have some options as to what I will do next.
I may be back to check on the next Chronicle. I haven't even seen the C1 changes, and I am curious.
Hey if your serious about coming back I play on Devianne, if you want post a message here or send me an e-mail here and I will link up with you in game and help get ya rollin, and keep the PKers off your back. I recently burned out on the grind ( I have several chars in the upper 30's, one over 40, and a couple low level chars) and now I am just doing quests and exploring the place.
It's not too bad now, alot of people have dedicated thier chars to PKing the bots so they are thinning out. The problem is now, alot of low level people got discouraged by getting killed all the time, they have level 4 little grief monsters running around messing with you while you try and level. After about level 10 they are of no consequence, but till then they are quite annoying. But like I said if you really wanna come back, let me know I would be glad to help you out. Also, there should be some good castle sieges this weekend. Good stuff if your not highe nough to fight, you shoudl watch, it's pretty amazing.
Cheers!
