Hey i justed wanted to make a new topic on how good this game is! I just started playing it like couple of weeks ago and i think its going to be here for a while... caues now that there are 1,000,000 people PLAYING IT!! and the CoP expansion looks promising! anyways post GOOD STUFF ABOUT THE GAME!! and people please dont flame!

Yeah! I'm goign to get this game as soon as I go to Moncton (the nearest city where there is a gaming store hehe) I've been waiting to get it for like two months, and it's gonna pown. Can't wait to heal everyone with whatever healing spells there are! XD

YEAH CANT WAIT TILL YOU GET IT! Just to let you know this game aint for everyone(that i mean like you lvl slow after lvl 10, battles are a tad bit slow, and supposivley you cant get enough gil) but i still like it cause its a challenge!! That didnt get to me cause i AM AN FFZEALOT AND AN EQ FAN but anywho this GAME ROCKS MY SOCKS! Get to Valefor server so me and you can join partys together!! ANYWAYS CONGRATS OF YOU GETTING IT!! ITS THE BEST MMORPG!! ( well maybe not the best

The ammount of Gil you get depends on your class, others need more then others. THF is the best class IMO to make money though, Gil finder and TH/TH2 (tresure hunter) seems to help alot! But FFXI does seem to lack community i think, i blame it on the fact that 50%+ of the server cant speak english ::::02:: But at any rate, its an allright game to play off and on and isnt as addictive as other games (ie... EQ).

Yeah i agree with you but thats the best part! Communicating with Japanese players is a blast! Even though you dont have as much options i wish there was but oh well! Anyways the game is going to get even more bigger as in people in europe are going to be playing it tooo!! I still think this game is addictive (but you right not as addictive as EQ but oh well i like this game a tad bit more better) ALSO im an FFZELOT so this game kept it good with its roots but yeah this game is REALLY GOOD i give it an 8.5 out of 10 but thats just me.

And for what you said Libion about it being slow, well, that's just what I'm expecting! That's how I see an MMORPG should be. You WORK for your levels, anyways, I can only wait to have the game to be able to back up my coments more ^^;

Yeah i still think this game is the shizz! But anywho in over all aspect its personal prefrence. But I really enjoy this game very much so im gonna keep playing it FOREVER!! hehehe, well until its no more! BUT YEAH THE COMMUNITY IS GREAT!!

LOL theres not a million people playing it fool. Theres a million chracters registered, tahts alot different.

What server are you playing on? Because at higher lvls your gonna notice the community sucks beleave me from my experience save your money...If you already have it sell it to a friend.

Well im in the Valefor server and people there are really nice to me!!! And i still think this is one of the best MMORPG's ive played since EQ!!(EQ ROCKS MY SOCKS!!) but anywho i dont really care if everyone hates it in this discussion board cause i know there are a ton of people and reviews that give the game a 9 out of 10 or an 8 but its personal prefrence!

Your server reflects your experience, I play on bahamut which was used for the North American beta, so there are few japanese players on it.. don't get me wrong we have our fair share of them but I just noticed there's not as much as say kujata which is the server I used to play on.

FFXI does rock, awesome game, I love it and I certainly don't think it lacks community, especially when the devs are doing a lot for the players. For example they were going to have maintenance and the servers down on labor day, but a lot of players wrote in saying they really wanted that day to play so they moved it to the next game. Not to mention things like summerfest, and the tribune (player run newspaper in ffxi) which keeps everyone up to date with events going on that are run by players. Can't forget weddings too, that was a neat thing for the devs to add. Also thousands of sites out there with forums, info, news, you name it..

And the expansion that was released a few days ago adds more monsters, areas, npc, equipment, quests, spells, and adjustments. We're always kept busy with something new and exciting.. I'd say if you think this game lacks community or communication.. you haven't experienced it to its fullest.

ffxi is a good game overall, i love it, and samurai is the best job IMO. but for some the game becomes too hard at the higher levels, but not for me, i just need a lil outside funding help

I have to agree that this game rocks. It is a pain to get running on some of the newer systems, but when you do get it running it's quite enjoyable. ::::31::

There are only two drawbacks I have yet seen. ::::12::
One is that Tech Support is a joke. They don't answer your request for nearly a week and when they finally do it is an automatic response with an FAQ that doesn't even apply to your situation. ::::21::
The other is that they will not give tech support for "unsupported" hardware. Unless you have a logitech joystick, NVidia video card, or a Pentium 4 based system, you are not going to get any help from them. ::::27::

FFXI is an awsome game, and all future morpgs should base ther auction house off of it. The problem is on my server I started noticeing around lvl 50-60 that a good deal of our friends from across the pacific start to get a little mean, and will not group with you because you are American. I found a linkshell that was not like that but I mean some of them will say stuff like <You have a bad atitude, and that why you twin towers fell down>, shit like that. And all you can do is ignore them, when what you really want to do is fly over there and thump em up side the head. But when you get to the higher lvls don't give'm the satisfaction, Just make shure you are the bigger person............ Because when you retaliate, your the one who is going to get band. Remember stand up for yourself, but don't retaliate! there is a differance, and you will be respected after you prove you are a good player. And the people who do say stuff like that are uasually booted by there own guilds/Linkshells anyway, cuz sooner or later, no mattere what nationality you are, people get sick of a loud mouth jerk.

i really enjoyed the game until level 50+, everything costs massive amounts of gil, and the grind is absolutely unbearable....just wait til u have to get lich paper (item need to progress past 50 with oh about 1/1000 drop), community sucks at high level....a quest for the samurai artifact armor [part 2 to be exact] what was the quest...spawn two mobs and kill them....15 mins travel and killtime, i had to pay japanese players to help me and absolutely beg my LS for help for over two weeks

BTW limduel samurai sucks completely, post 50 you need the absolute best stuff in the game just to be average compared to other classes (drk, mnk, rng)

actually no i had good luck and got mine within 3 hours, but then i watched my friend go three weeks with out getting his papyrus (they dropped but he was alwasy unlucky with his rolls)

Getting into a good party....good luck if your not a tank, or hp healer or mp healer, and it even goes further then that....good luck if your not a blinktanking ninja, a red mage or a bard (and yes any "good" party will have ALL 3 classes in it)
