Warhammer Online: Hot or Not Poll

It was suggested that a poll be made, and so here's one, it's basic but that's the point. Feel free to make further comment after voting:

Hot if you love it.

Meh if you're not sure, or if you think it's just okay.

Not if you hate it or think it's terribad.

I don't know if, well...

For me its not a bad game and feels like it has a solid base but overall its nothing special at all, so I voted meh. Off course as we get closer to launch my opinion could certainly change to hot, but at the moment - meh.

I'll say it, yeah Warhammer is going to be a good game. How many other games out there promote a open grouping system instead of an elitist guild group only attitude.

As a former DAoC player, Warhammer is just my cup of tea.

I loved the RvR action that I took part in during the Preview Weekend, and I am really happy I preordered.

Now -- I want Open Beta and Head Start to begin!

Oh yea! cant wait for this guy to come out!  Was in Beta, and eventhough my Black Guard got cut I can still have a little fun playing the Disciple.  I really do hope they put the Black Guard back in though!

Never say "opps" in raid chat, say ahhhhhh interesting.

It's weird because everyone on these forums says how they want something new and innovative and WAR doesn't offer anything new over whats been offered before. However suddenly everyons loving this game and by everyone I mean the same 100 people on the WAR forums which obviously wanted to love it no matter what, like the vanguard people. However once the game is released and the WOW expansion is out then I feel like we'll see a much different story and the game will be another niche mmorpg like EQ2 or LOTRO.

I personally am not excited about WoTLK.

And this is someone who has spent years playing WoW at endgame and reached rank 13 under the old PvP system.

All that is past now. After all this time I can't even stand to log in to wow. Nothing has changed, except it's been dumbed down to a point were nothing is worth the effort.

Now I just want to play a game and have fun.

I actually know very few people who have fun in WoW.

Just ask people, ask the vast majority of players after 2-3 years if they are having fun.

Most people will awnser no. Something wrong right there.

I'm hoping WAR will fill the void in having a fun social game that does not force people in to carrot chasing instead of simply having fun whether it be playing 3 hours a week or whether it be 70 hours a week.

This forum is full of WAR haters.... Out of 136 votes its getting good review?

I am in WotLK beta at the moment, and I can tell you that even in its slightly-bugged state it's more fun than the last two were, probably because the gameplay is more varied. Top that wish the fresh setting (the reason I played BC for a while) and you've got a solid expansion. DKs don't hurt either.

There is definitely a lot of burn-out, Blizzard took way too long to release another raid after BT and guilds fell apart because they had been on break so long or players had quit, the like. But WotLK will bring me back, at least for a short while to level to eighty and experience some end-game raids.

However, I am also looking forward to WAR! I've been waiting since they announced it oh so long ago, and I've  yet to get to play it besides a short stint at Comic-Con, so I have a terrible case of WAR blue balls. I need it like I need water at this point (I know, I'm sad), so I'm looking forward to playing my rune-priest.

Niche like LOTRO and EQ2 no way. As many subs as WOW no way. Somewhere in between like 1-2 mill yes. The game is excellent, the company is great, i mean coming out and admitting they messed up on a patch and letting us know what they re doing to fix it and please people with some of the nagging issues outside stability. They have a gem sitting here and they won t turn it into a steaming turd. This game is great and will become excellent.

More then likely it s 5-6 people with 4 seperate accounts bashing it over and over. The game is good IMO, some won t like it but i feel who cares as long as i m having fun, and that i can guarentee you i am.

For a theme park PvP MMO its very hot. I think most ppls vote for their point of view and personal taste that is very wrong. I personnaly hate strategy games but that do not make WC and AoE bad games! I even do not like WAR very much, just becasue do not like theme park games, but still think that WAR is great!

Where themepark games try to hide that they are copying WOW, games like Mortal Online and Darkfall make no attempt to hide their inspiration

i love party based pvp battle/sieging or working to some type of goal while pvp but i do not like zerg fest with no stratgy so scenarios is what appels to me the most and i love em. am also a PQ addict.

WAR can appeal to so much  diffrent players is what makes it hot for me, explorers have the ToK and the unlocks, pvpers have scenarios, battle keeps and open RvR, PvE have the PQs and the awsome dungeons, the crafters will have alot of fun even though for now there is limited choices but i was having fun with the potion making, during the preview weekend i was making potions that improve my stats and absorb damage i believe that will be in demand and so will be tailsmen making (the empty slots you see on the items is where the tailsmen go)

Had a lot of fun during preview. Looking forward to release.

I think that War is being built on a solid foundation and the best will come in time. To me it felt alive and like a waaagh was going on. Looking forward to release and think it will be hot..
