ok... anyone that plays more then 1 mmo does it... WAR is not WoW never will be, get over it.
if ur looking for a awsome (pve) raiding and 1 shoting people in pvp or taking on 50 people being a RANGED DPS CASTER IN THE LOWEST ARMOR RAITING GEAR IN THE GAME (yes im looking at u SL-SL lokz) go play WoW and stop invading the forums with stuff that says WAR is just like WoW....
and everything that is like WoW (in my personal oppinion) makes a game great, the UI for example WITCH IS CUSTIMIZABLE FOR ALL OF U WHO DONT KNOW that means that it isnt like WoWs interface (yes i know about addons = OUT OF GAME SWITCHES im not talking about them)
the PvE combat they say is just like WoW's /laugh -
1. its longer requiring more skill on the players part
2. no dungeons untill end-game and those, for the most part, arent 40 man raids with the expetion of the king fight
3. everything eles has came from games before WoW
4. cities, HOLY SHIT you can actually go into them at low lvls and grab quests from 5-40 (WoW theres not really any quests in major cites besides the ones you have to run through in chain quests)
PvP /laugh again -
1. WoW technically copy'd mythic entertainment by putting in the use of seige warfare and destructable invierment
2. No 1 hitting anyone or serving alone without help
3. open world RvR (PvP) is masive and condenced at low lvls making it really fun and the chance to prove what u have
4. RvR wields XP and you can get RvR buffs that give you more XP the more you conqure the other side in RvR
4 reasons each why these games are different and most of these will tell you all that WoW is WoW and WAR will never take that away, like paul barnett said " there the Beatles, were Led Zeppelin /rock pose"

The only means of communication is through mutually understood ideas/concepts. So if someone states that a class plays like "a holy paladin that forgets to stop meleeing" then technically that isn't correct ofcourse, but it nicely conveys the idea he's trying to get across in a way that will sound logical and understable to the people who haven't played WAR (but did play WOW).
Comparisons will always happen, on any level, on every subject. You simply can not communicate or form an opinion without previous experience and knowledge.
Apart from that people are afraid of change and also like to open their mouth even though they have nothing to say, so they fall back on something they DO know, ie; WOW.

OP, you're asking people to stop making comparisons between games, is that right? (struggling here, because if that was the point, you then went on to compare games...)
If that is the case, then I have to disagree with you.
There is a benchmark, it puts things into perspective for many people and might, just might give them the insight they need to say, 'Hey, I'm going to go try that new game over there!'.
