To all the WoW fanboys...

Way way back somewhere in the early 90s, Blizzard wanted to make an RTS game based on the Warhammer setting. They tried to make negotiations with a game company called Games Workshop. Games Workshop is the creators of Warhammer. Well, as negotiations went back and forth Blizzard started to create their game and GW backed down. So, Blizzard took the game setting of Warhammer, tweeked it, and created a game called Warcraft.

I'm sure if you search around some more on google or yahoo, you'll find more articles like this one on other game sites.

You might want to learn alittle bit more about your game before you say another game sucks.

Yes but everyone and their mother knows this by now.

Don't worry. The WoW fanbois won't leave (they like trolling more than playing their "awesome" game ).

I guess it's GW's loss?  Let's how see how well WAR does now.

O...k..., so, what's your point? Blizzard is smart and has made a crapload of money and Games was really...really foolish to 1) not accept Blizzard's offer and 2)wait so long to join the the MMO show? Sure, I'll buy that.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but linking to a reviewers article, doesn't prove anything.

First, I just asked my friends mom what WoW is and she looked at me and said, "WoW? Huh?"

Btw, I don't care that your trolling the forums, because once WAR comes out, I 'll be free from the trolls!

Second, yeah it was GW's loss and I'm just as curious to see how well WAR does.

    Third, I've stated my point.

Forth, your right it won't prove anything, but it does back up the information that I posted. Some who read this post will be curious as to see what other articles have to say and so they will search it.

Don't get me wrong, I am not here to bash anyone nor their game. I just wanted to post some information to those who are uninformed so that they can make themselves look less of an idiot.

For the past few years i have been in and out of WoW. I can't seem to play it for long like I have other MMOs. I get to a certain lvl, get bored and quit. I know many others who do the same. WoW is a good game, but its too basic and after looking at cartoony graphics for a month or so, I start feeling like a 6 year old watching Bugs Bunny again. Not to say that anything is wrong with Bugs Bunny, but others, if not any of you, will get my point.

Warhammer Online looks to be a great game. It should be, because SEGA was the first to work on it. SEGA is a great game company. Then EA Mythic took over and they are a great game company as well.

I should have titled this thread, "To all the WoW fanboys who don't know..."

Furthermore, people play games according to their tastes and likeness. Just like how people buy cell phones according to prefence. I bought an iPhone 3G for prefence. I find that it has many uses everyday. Someone may tell me that, they don't like the phone and that it sucks. Thats fine and all that it sucks to them, but not to me, because I have use for it everyday.

One more thing. WoW isn't going to die because of a game. If there is anything that kills WoW, it will be either Blizzard or the community that plays it.

I hate all these debates regarding WoW- WAR.

WoW= World Of Warcraft. PvE Centered game.

WAR= Warhammer Online. The PVP centered game.

Im certainly looking forward to WAR. But theres no need to hate on a game which im pretty sure of, most people on this forum have played and somewhat had good memorys of.
