There is a lot of information in these forums already. The answer to your question has been gone over already and the thread you seek is even on the front page of the WAR forums.

It doesn't mention open beta for the standard edition just the early access, yet according to GOA they aren't on the preferred retailer list.

The only people who are doing open beta is the EA site for £40 and Direct 2 Drive for £32, hmmmm the 2 digital distros that have open beta are also the 2 most expensive, that's what you get for wanting to save the planet.

£2 for 2 weeks of open beta is cheaper than the monthly fee...

Note: PlayNC will refuse to allow you access to your account if you forget your password and can't provide a scanned image of the product key for the first product you purchased..... LOL

What you have to remember is that the extra £10 is essentially what your paying for OB access, 10 days game time basically. AoC did the same, and it didnt go down to well with that community that you had to pay to open beta.

£2? Game has it at £27 and you'll also get the postcards and not have to waste blank DvD's burning a backup. (I blagged mine for £22 so I am not moving pre-order anyways.)

It just amazes me that a physical box still costs less than a digital distribution.
