Why So Serious - Mature US Order Guild
Inevitable City deserves a better class of asskicking. And we're going to give it to them.
Mercy is the mark of great men...guess we're just good men...well, we're alright. We may not be the first guild to reach level cap, but we will be the last force standing on the battlefield. Our well coordinated relentless assaults will grind down even the most stalwart of defenses, leaving our enemies bloodied, beaten and demoralized. Because, let's be honest. What's more fun than slapping around some emo Choas, wannabe goth Dark Elves and dumbass Greenskins.
We are currently looking to expand our roster with mature gamers who are interested in growing our community and just plain having fun, mainly through the stomping, crushing and annihilating of the young Chaos punks who would burn our homes, despoil our lands, mess up our lawns, and just generally be a nuisance.
There is more information about the guild on our forums, but just to answer the most common questions:
1. Do you have a website/vent?
Yes and yes.
2. What classes are you recruiting?
Presently....all. We're more interested in getting good people than class balance at this point. Please remember that healers and tanks are always in demand, though.
3. What type of guild are you? What are your end game goals?
Anyone playing warhammer that isn't into PVP is in the wrong game. That said, however, I'm still personally interested in seeing all the game has to offer and will lead PVE raids should the interest be there. Might as well see all the content we're paying for in my opinion.
4. What type of players are you recruiting? Hardcore.....casual?
I've never understood the assumption that hardcore and casual players can't coexist in a well structured guild. Personally, I used to be very hardcore gamer (60 hours a week), however my schedule doesn't permit that on a regular basis anymore. On the other hand, I'm not really happy if I can't at least be competitive with even the most dedicated players, so I still play more than a casual player would (say 20-40 hours a week). This guild will NOT be accepting people solely on the basis of their supposed talent level or playtime.
Good person with limited time >> jerk with alot of time on his hands.

Without looking at your site yet I must say that I like the attitude and overall outlook you have about what you want for this guild. I will definantly want to be hardcore but at first I just wanna quest and level and do the ol PVE thing just to see the game and explore it as you alluded to above. After awhile I will grow weary of this and then be ready to storm the halls of the Inevitable City and show them what Destruction on an awesome level truly is.
I am part of a small group of people that kinda wanna go into this together so I will inform them of you guys.
I think I will fold my guild into yours. We are all former gamer geeks who are now husbands and fathers, but still know and thirst to kick A and talk smack to emo teenagers.
We are a rather rowdy bunch. But even in a carebear game like wow we found our niche.
My group actually DOES have a class restriction. so I guess if we fold 6 heavy melee and 2 Healing healers (no our healers dont think they are "uber l33t nuker makinez"
All of us are North East (nyc area) players and play primetime...... or when our wives/girlfriends let us.
we plan on playing on a large server so we can be totally outnumbered by Emo teens and wanna-be goth punks.... the more outnumbered we are the more points we earn and the cooler we all look right?

A couple more pieces of info about us that people have been inquiring about....
We'll be rolling on an Open ruleset server. It just doesn't make sense to us that a dwarf and orc could merrily go on about completing their quests without one of them ever trying to stab the other in the back.
As for size of guild....we are NOT a zerg guild. We want to be large enough to field a well balanced raid group every night. This may change at a later date, but for now I'm guessing we'll top out at around 60 members.
Appearently Tyrion didn't get brought over from Closed Beta to Preview weekend...or at least it hasn't made the list of available servers for at least a couple hours /cry
So I'll be abandoning the old Tasharin and starting a new toon on Blood Keep. Why? Cause I think it sounds cool.
If you want to meet up with some of us, feel free to roll there. Though just as a warning, 95% of our guild won't be on till after work tonight (Friday).
This guild is growing rapidly. Great bunch of people all mature and helpful. Did well grouping together for preview weekend and can't wait til open beta. Stop by the forums and say hello in the public section even if you don't want to put an app in right away.
I like the sound of this guild. Wife and i are ready for OB and release, and are lookng for a guild. Any info would be great. I always play a tank and she a healer but we LOVED our Shadow Warriors in PW.

You guys sound exactly like the guild that I am looking for in WAR. Am an older gamer, 36, and travel quite a bit so sometimes I can play for hours on end and at other times in a spurts. I love pvp and helping out with groups and am planning on playing a Swordmaster at release. Think I will go to your webiste and fill out an application

Like Boost said we seem to have struck a chord with a number of good people and are gearing up for the open beta. Can't wait to start crushing some skulls (or in my case repairing them) and capturing a few keeps:)
A short note on class composition at this point. Like I said in an earlier post we're much more concerned about getting quality people than being perfectly balanced classwise at this point, but from early indications we seem seem to be ranged heavy at the moment. A few Archmages and Runepriests, but not many Warriorpriests. We do have a few tanks, but wouldn't mind getting a couple more Ironbreakers or Swordmasters as those guys will always be needed.
I got a chance to play with some of the crew during Preview Weekend. Everyone's real cool, mature and got their heads in the right place. Looking forward to the slashin 'n bashin in what will be Open Beta.
Looks like we might be able to fill our roster by the end of the open beta with how well recruiting is going.
One important change to note: We hate the implementation of the chicken mechanic. It was a great idea, but ti looks like the one major thing Mythic has screwed up at this point. Unless changes are made we'll be going on a core server.
This is a good bunch of people, I'm really looking forward to gaming with you all. The 7th can't come soon enough.
