Dose this game lag i need to kow i bort star war galaxies and it lag like hell AND I gave it a new name lag war galaxies!

I loaded the game to check out the last big update and stabilty and lag are awful now. I lose server connection more now than I ever did in beta. One of the few things this game had going for it was stabiltiy and now that's gone.

Right becasue before I was playing on their LAN??
I once played CoH with 2 torrents [one Dling and uploading and one just uploading] and I just got occasional step and animation lag. But then again, I do have a gig of RAM and a 9800xt and 365k netspeed.

I lag from time to time.
I dont lag much.
Most importantly, I never cry because lagging was that bad to me, at worst it mean a possible death, and death hardly affect my determination in this game, I have been throught hell levels and the nastiest deaths lag can bring, to earn a little debt? Oh well, I will have more influence when I will ding a little later!
I recall logging in EQ because I was lagging...you will NEVER see that in CoH, go ahead, kill me lagmonster, I aint afraid(althought I am not enjoying lag, I am not angry at it).
From an era I was still liking raiding(in EQ) I recall main tank saying this to guild: ''Man, it suxxor, main chanter lag and say she should be doing tradeskills rather then allowing us to wipe!''.
Will not happen in CoH!

If you experience any lag in this game you might want to increase your ram. My friend had 256 megs of ram and it caused a lot of lag over a period of 3-4 hours. The game causes some memory leakage so it's always good to restart your computer every once in a while until it's fixed.
To fix this problem, my friend bought a gig of ram and now he can play the game flawless for days on end without experiencing any lag whatsoever on full graphics and spell effects.

as millions of post says before..low framerate ISNT LAG.
lag is network latency and can have several reasons. Wait for internet 2..
Wonder why ppl always yell lag when the framerates drop..do they do the same in doom3?

A drop in framerate won't make you lose connection to the server since it is unrelated. When I say lag I mean lag. I do know the difference. It was awful right after the patch. They have added a few hot fixes and it seems to have stablized, but when I posted, the lag was extreme.
While I dislike this game, I will be the first to say it's probably the most stable MMO on the market (not hard to do when it's only as complex as a single player game, but that's a rant for another thread). So I'm not coming here saying the lag is awful just to bash the game.
P.S.
I have 1 gig of ram and a P4 3.06, with a 9800 pro video card. I doubt it's my ram.
