What makes you hate a game? Where does this hate generate from? What has the game done to you personally?
These are the questions I am asking because I can't understand the hate that goes towards one game after another pops up. If War never came we would not see this about WOW. There is a mechanism in everyones brain I think that turns on, which is the bandwagon button.
Seriously guys ask yourself what has this game done to you, and not just this game but every game that gets bashed after another game releases. Has the game personally threatened your life, or has it hurt you EMOTIONALLY. If so you maybe an Emo, JK. 
But seriously every game that was great becomes bad and stupid because players find no more value in it. I see no reason why you need to compare bash another game in a forum which you are reviewing a new game, except for when it turns out to be crap and they have promised things that never came, or when a game adds in a patch that degrades game play and pisses off people. I don't see this in WOW but it happened in AOC and other games.
I only ever bashed games that had major flaws introduced to the game which made them worse or a company who does not listen to it's players and continues to add poor content and not fix major flaws.
I must add I am not a WOW fanboi, which that spelling of fanboi is fan boy. I refuse to spell fan boy wrong just because some 12 year old posted this word wrong in countless posts and it caught on. Back on topic, I am not a WOW fan boy but do not get all the hate generated just because a new game pops up that is similar to it.
If I was an occasional or even one time visitor I would not be able to get an accurate idea about these games. Can anyone post about another games good and bad without bringing up x game sucks this one is better. Where have the days gone of accurate on topic reviews and ideas about a games good and bad.
Lastly I would like to point out AOC in this example. All the love the game had on these forums with bashing other games in those threads due to comparing them. Which they did not even compare correctly. All the, this game will be the best game ever threads. I can take our most popular account names here and show how you guys over hyped that game and said it was the best, then 1 month after launch your ideas about that game and everything you thought you loved was the opposite now.
I am just saying that comparing other games to new games before they launch isn't exactly FACT. I would leave all future comparisons out from your threads unless that game is exactly the same game play and combat as X game. Otherwise it leaves you looking 
when you start to bash the game you over hyped after launch.
I probably will get flamed 
and called a WOW fan boy here (I.D.C.) but I just wanted to see how many of you realized this phenomena on the forums across all sites on the internet. It truly is strange. Example, This game is the best game ever it will kill X game and is way better then X game. Then the game launches and it sucks or fails after a few months.
edit: No one is perfect.

Hate is such a ... strong word. I just loath the very core of anyone that supports a game that is far inferior to another game because of some misguided lack of knowledge or mental instability. WAR and AOC where not the first to feel my ire. I have flamed FF7 because it was clearly inferior to FF6, and I flamed halo caused because its clearly inferior to Turok 2. I am sure i will do it again many times to come and in all those instances it will be my OPINION and you don't have to listen and thats fine.
Its ok to support a game but to claim its superiority will in most cases bring someones hatred to the table and someone WILL come forward to claim the exact opposite.
So it isas much fault the hater as it is the fanboi. One can not exist without the other but both will exist because it is human nature to compare and contrast. It just sucks then we use an inborn instinct for evil and not good.
Hype is my nemesis. i will fight it til the day i die whether i take it down or it takes me down. So depressing, Yes?
Totally agree, and have noticed. Some boards moderate developer bashing for any developer but blizzard.
I think it has something to do with some people hating success. If Warcraft wasn't as successful, it would still be a good game, but not nearly as much bashing.
They're just games as i've heard, and people can enjoy more then one style of game.
Personally, i'm done commenting on it from now on. It'll either get worse or fade away. Makes me want to attack a game that i would potentially enjoy before even playing it. Because in many cases the arguments go both ways when comparing two Video Games in the same genre and style.

After playing Wow for 3 years all there is to show for my achievements within the game are the title "Centurion" and a host of pointless factional exaulted statuses that mean nothing as most of them are pretty much past their sell by date or mean nothing ,even the items procured from exaulted status are in effect defunct.
I could have rolled into the game 3 months ago and pretty much farmed the charity epics in the bg's or arenas to be where i am today with the exception of 1 or 2 items,all the rest means nothing PvP is lame, as a PvP player at heart it greives me to see something that should have been so good turn so lame. The PvE is even lamer the only reason to do this is to grind repair cash or level as the items from the PvE expirience are made far to obsolete far too soon,Dont even get me started on the childish trade spam shat and people who use daddies credit card to buy their way to the land of false promises,i for one will not be wasting anymore of my cash on chasing phantoms in WoTLK.
Now do you see why many of the older gamers like myself are moving on to WAR.
