I'm waiting for Metallicas and Guns 'N' Roses new albums to come out.

I've had a leak of quite a bit of the new G'n'R for about a year now. Don't get your hopes up bud. Most of their more popular music was written by Izzy and he was the first one to leave. It's not horrible, just saying not to expect it to sound like the G'n'R we all know.

Metallica-I dunno the last few albums have not been so good. But on the bright side they ditched Bob Rock this time around. So hopefully we'll get a little of the old Metallica back. I think Rick Rubin picked it up. He is good at pushing bands in the right direction.

My all time favorite band.....Kyuss. If you listen to any music like Metallica, Sabbath or whatever, do yourself a favor and pick up some Kyuss. They aren't together anymore. But they were around about the same time as these bands, early to mid 90's. The guitarist left and started Queens of the Stone Age. Many bands will list Kyuss as an influence. I saw an interview with Jason Newsted when they did the Load albums. They asked him what it sounded like and he replied "Kyuss." Of course it wasn't true, but was cool to hear a big band give them a nod.

The first video I saw of Kyuss. "Green Machine"

Nine Inch Nails, Primus, Ramstein, Postal Service, Roisin Murphy, Moloko, Modest Mouse, Muse, Orgy. Thats just barely a small bit of the music I love. One thing runs thematically through them all. They all speak of someone who knows what there doing and there focused on there present. Ending stories too. I love the end. Its just one step from the next fall

Currently favorite genres and bands in order:

    Black Metal:

-Emperor: One of the best bands ever formed (in my opinion). What I love about them is that they incorporate classical themes and techniques into traditional black metal to make it a very rich experience.

    My favorite Emperor song:

    Thus spake the nightspirit

    Death Metal-Black Metal-Hardcore-Industrial Hybrid:

-Anaal Nathrakh: If you something to wake you up, or get you pumped up look no further.

Favorite song by Anaal Nathrakh is actually not their own song, but a cover of a Mayhem song:

    Carnage

    Industrial:

-Rammstein: Who hasn't heard of them? While a lot of their sounds are generic, they are catchy and enjoyable.

I enjoy a lot of other bands, but those are what I am listening to the most. I like a lot of alternative bands as well: A Perfect Circle, Sound Garden, Collide and a few others, but I can't bring myself to listen to it as frequently as I used to, because I had grown up with Nirvana, Sound Garden etc., so I'm looking for new sounds.

That actually was a very compelling piece of music there. I rather like the accordian. As for Ramstein, LOVE THEM! I was never much into rock or metal until my brother got me into it. Ramstein got me hooked. I love there song Los video.google.com/videoplay. Really love the different instruments. Especially the acoustic.

Oh and I cant forget Destroy, gota listen to that when I play Chaos in war:D

Perhaps the best band of all time.

Another gem, but some understanding of the German language is required to really appreciate it:

I listen to mostly Classical and rock of all types. No rap or hip hop but I do like some R&B. Blues and Jazz.

I like all classical but for rock I enjoy classic 80's rock. I love APC and STP. I am currently listening to Feist my favorite for a few years still. I also just got into liking Katy Perry and The Pierces.

Look up The Pierces and Feist songs you will like them. Also look up Ingrid Michaelson, Charlotte Church, and Keb Mo. I bet you will come back to thank me for those recommendations.

I listen to a lot of new age stuff also.

Who let you in the VIP section?

If you don't like a particular genre of music, it's counted as opinion, because every genre will have some artists who do produce good music. I listen to all sorts of music, but I like rap, rock and dance music the most. My most favourite band of all time has to be Linkin Park. I do think hardcore rock has to be what I really detest. I mean, how can people listen to music which involves constant roaring/shouting?!

We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.

    I like hip-hop (Not rap).

    Artists I like are:

    J Dilla (Jay Dee)

    Daft Punk (FTW)

    Metallica (One, and many others)

Slayer (Raining blood, and others :P)

Dragon Force (Lyrics suck, music's cool)

Mostly all old rock (Rush, Gunz & Roses, Cinderella, etc.)

Basically, I'm pretty mixed on what I like.
