    you should also run the client everyday so you dl all the content and stuff.

    Well, I guess only the alpha testers can get in for the moment.image

    But you certainly have to start the client soft between 29 - 31 october, then

    everyone can get in for the world preview event of Guildwars.image

    After that, the beta phase starts and those with a pre-order key can get in one weekend

    per month. image

    The game should come out beginning 2005 (februari ?) image

    I downloaded the client and downloaded some files and a soart of main menu of GW appears but i cant donwload files daily why???what do i have to do to do so?

    I don't know how many of you did the E3 demo, but they started the night before the actual date and ended a day later too. so I would suggest checking sooner and you might get a head start.::::01::

    @Pillonator : that's the whole point of Guildwars' new "update technology" : you don't have to do anything. Every time that you start up the client soft, with a pc that has an internet connection, the latest updates are "streaming in" automatically. In this way, the game is always up to date.image

    @dreary79 : you're right. I hope they do this for the world preview event too.image

    Also every time you log into GW game content thats stored on Anet Servers that are needed to play the game are Temporarily sent to ur computer allowing for minimal space usage on ur HD.

    TY for the info i didnt actually thought u were getting the files while the client was open because of the previous dl it did but i see how it works now.

    I was just wondering.... ArenaNet is streaming us all this game content. My GW client for the E3 demo ended up with a little over 250mb. Right now my GW client, on another computer, that didn't play the GW demo, is at 108mb. Are we downloading stuff that is just going to be changed and we don't need? Waisting hard drive space? Anyhow, is the game going to auto delete the data it doesn't need or are we going to be stuck with it on our drives? Just questions I haven't seen asked yet.

    We're downloading all the new information while it comes out.

    When Oct. 29th comes around and your game folder is 200Mb of GW and you download the game that day, you'll still have 200Mb of files.

    So to answer your question, no.  You're always downloading NEW info that you will need.

    hey i was wondering beacuse i dl the client and i got to download 86MB but the client isnt dl anymore.  I dont know if it has anything to do with the point that im dl other stuff at the same time but for some reason the gw client aint dl anymore

    i dont understand entirely ^ but if it becomes a problem just reinstall. and next time try to explain it better its hard to understand.

    well all is have to say is that, EVERYDAY when i boot my computer the first thing to run after my internet connection is the guildwars client to check for updates::::08::
