Properly forming a corp

I was wondering why this idea hasn't been put forward before, that when you found a corp, you should ensure that the people who join are from all different time zones, so that someone may be online at all times to guard colonies, do stuff, etc etc.

There can't be a lot of pain involved in this method of corp-forming; the only thing I can think of is that it might be diffcult to actually get people to admit they are from XXX time zone or whatever, and how to set up people from different time zones together in the first place (considering the fact that by definition, you would nt be on at the same time as most of your corp members).

You're right Dragon, it's a very good idea. I rememeber that one game when we were in the same corporation, but I only saw you online twice the entire game.

The good side to doing that is your colonies are almost always protected.

The bad side is that it makes it harder to invade other well-defended colonies.

Weird... do I know you from someplace else? I don't have the handle of "Dragon45" in-game...

Oh, sorry, I thought you were Dragon in-game. What's your in-game name then?

What idiot is managing a corp without thinking about timezones????image
I'm the CEO of a generally average corp and i'm taking timezones in regard for weeks now!

nice tip: use a corp timezone, that way it's easier to meet

I dunno, I made a corp on Frontier Wars (Shadow Requiem), and timezones wasn't a consideration on who I invited. Invites were purely on a basis of who I thought I could trust and who I respected.

At 50 minutes left for the game, Shadow Requiem members hold the number 1, 3, 4, and 7 slots, and have a combined total of 1,272,782 exp. So, in my humble opinion as a CEO, there are more important things to keep in mind than just what time they play. Give me people who will risk death, or even embrace death, for the good of the corp and I'll stand them even if they are less than 'ideal' on paper.

    That's true Tarin,
I've had a lot of differnt people in my corp and the only way to know is a good member is by experience. They can have a great exp. , an amazingly high or low rep. , 50 colonies, and so on...

But if don't have the sparkle of motivation they are just not worth the effort. Not all players can function in a corp...
