Your chance at getting into EQ2 Beta is about the same as everyone else. Just be patient and realize that the game will probably be released in about 8 to 10 weeks.
Just enter in the MMORPG.com contest and hope you win. Otherwise just hope you get in the normal way or wait for it to be released. Oh and En1gma... its a chocobo. But if you want to call it a chicken whatever.
Looking at the "supposed" release of Nov 15.The MMORPG.com beta contest is not up till middle of Oct.A game takes at least 3 weeks to get released from when it goes gold.So if the release date is correct you will have maybe 3 days of beta.So anyone who thinks that this will be released in Nov you are nuts. With a bit of luck santa will bring it

Not necessarily - SOME would be willing to trade it for WoW beta account I bet ... I have even see posts of that nature. Of course that would be against both ToS ..... You would just have to find the right person

MY KINGDOM FOR BETA
I agree on this point. Knowing the game industry as I know it, most of the upcoming games will be released in time for Christmas Sales. This way the companies can get the most dollars for their efforts. There are those players that will wait till the February - March time frame to buy them when they drop from the usual $49+ range at release to the $29-$39 range when the rage has died down. I will definitely buy EQ2 upon release day. I want it that bad.
Giving your beta account to another person is actually against the rules and guidlines given out by Sony when you receive the beta. Your out of luck man, you'll just have to hope to win the contest. Your not alone either, i bet thousands of people want to get into the beta just like you, heh. Good luck.
If you really want to get in Beta bad enough you can pre-register for the EQ fanfaire in New Orleans, and they will issue you a Beta invite on or around 10/11 according to the fanfaire site. It costs you $100 to sign up for the fanfaire . . . so how bad do you want it?

I did it
Worth it to me to go through the lower levels and pick what class I want to be/get familiar with the game before release...(and I payed for it with part of the money I got from selling my game account for my former mmo )
Originally posted by InfinityVoid Lol, I wonder if you could sign up for FF and then cancel, and with any luck they will not remove you from the beta list.... just a thought though
Sorry Infinity, I'm afraid that wouldn't work. They won't send out the Beta invites until 10/11 which is the day registration closes, and no cancellation refunds are excepted after that time. But it is worth the money to a lot of people to be in Beta for a month (or so ) before release. Besides . . . LOL . . . you get a great new T-shirt! (You're not alone X . . . me too)
I wish there was a way to get everyone in but that is just like winning the lottery, i would sign up there was a short time that eq its self had a open beta test sign up . If you missed that one i would start searching the the websites and try to win a beta invite. Like here at MMORPG is a chance to win , give it a shot you never know

You will be playing soon enough.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

When nooblet said "me" he meant "send it to BaFooN" kkthx =P
Yea beta has been in progress for a loooong time.
And if anyone has a beta account, then send it to me, not those two people up there.
Lol.. but there aren't many people who would give up an EQ2 beta account. Even if they didn't want to play it, they'd turn to ebay first.
