Beta patches can be downloaded from here as the autopatcher at times is slow due to the high load.
one question is the beta free for everybody or only open to people that have a NC subcription?
Anyone can participate in the open beta, regardless of whether they have an active, inactive or no account at all
The beta account is created via a link in the Launcher once the client is downloaded & installed.

Download the patches from ftp://ftp.neocron.com/betapatches and place it into the Patches folder in the Nc2 directory. The auto patcher is sopposed to use the ftp server to get you the patches but atm its broken and dosent establish an ftp link so it downloads them form the gameserver but at a max speed of 10kb/s. Its a known issue and will be fixed.
Don't use the autopatcher... Create a file in the neocron2openbeta directory called "patches" without the quotes of course and download patches 129-134 from the FTP here ftp://ftp.neocron.com/betapatches/
The folder you put it in should be something like this C:Program Files
eocron2openbetapatches

What could you compare neocron to, out of the MMORPGs out there on the market? i've never played sounds kinda cool though.

anyone the same way disappointed from the Beta? I really thought that ReaKKtor would improve the grafics ... but it has been no improvement to the old Neocron. And yes ... I have a DX9 Video Card

I just signed up and patched... here's a little tip for anyone staring at the 3 kB/s patcher in disbelief: take your FTP client of choice, and connect to reakktor.biz (port 21, anon login/pass). Browse to 'betapatches', and grab all the ones you need (1.29+ for a fresh install). It maxed my download speed at around 300 kB/s. Now make a subfolder called "patches" in your Neocron 2 install folder, and dump all the patches in there. When you run the patcher this time, it installs them all from the patch files you leeched via the FTP client.
This actually took me a while to figure out... I got the patches right away, but I was stumped as to where to put them. I tried simply putting them in the install folder to no avail. I finally gave up and grabbed a program that would monitor all read/write access for the file system, filtered the results, and found that the patcher was downloading to the 'patches' subfolder, even though windows refused to tell me it even existed. When I created the folder myself, the download temp file was right there the second I did. Anyway, have fun!
Edit: Err... missed this whole second page of posts... haha, sorry. Oh well, there's an alternate method if anyone wants it. :P

Bah i just downloaded and installed NC 2 from fileplanet but i dunno were to make a account and god damd i cant get in it ( launcher opens then i click on Play Neocron i only see then getting version stuf ) and does nothing
