Thanks for the codes. They're the first ones i've found, not that I have been looking all that hard.

Does anyone feel that this campaign is almost pointless however seeing as destruction dominates order due to larger numbers? And this not being helped by the fact that every few days when destruction wins a battle they are given more gold.

I loved the concept at first but at this rate it just doesn't look like order will be able to make any sort of impact and destruction are guaranteed the level 2 capital city or whatever the prize is at the end. Hopefully the drastic imbalance doesn't carry over to real WAR.

    Thanks again.

Aye, Order is getting its butt kicked so bad that I decided to switch over to being a dwaf instead of a goblin. Dwarfs kick ass, too, though, so meh.

    Playing: Single-player games
Awaiting: Stargate, Star Trek, assuming the burnout has passed
Retired: WoW, BC, LotRO, DDO, CoH/V, EVE, WotLK, WAR

I actually wanted to go order, however my guild decided on Destruction. What can ya do?

It's always hard in a game with 2 sides like war, most players tend to like one side unbalancing the game. Same thing in EQ2, evil have a lot more players on PvP servers and same thing with many other games.

Will be intresting to see if mythic can balance it when the game go gold, will probably take a lot of work.

Funny thing is from playing the preview weekend a good example to describe most destruction players is the new Alliance.  (cant win a bg) And Order is the new horde (kicks hardcore ass)

I played maybe 20 or so t1 scenarios and won maybe 5 or 6 while getting our ass handed to most of the time.  (ork and dark elf ones)

So as far as i know.  Order seems to have the better players, knowing what they are doing.  Now i just wonder if this is really true.  And if anyone else experienced something different.

It looks like order is making some progress to catch up.

They have a showing now on the leaderboards and seems to be closing the gap in some regions.

The game is gold already, and what has that got to do with folk choosing sides?

I agree, you should stop playing with your friends in video games just so you can be considered an individual thinker.

Oh wait, that would be just as dumb as leaving your friends just so you can get virtual items in another guild.  What was I thinking.

Go to Road to War. It's a browser based game for WAR.

    Thanks for the codes,

My one question about road to war is does any of this carry into WAR?

Iv got three trophies already lol :)

  • SillverSillver Member Posts: 18

Yes.. Here is some info on the awards from http://www.road-to-war.com/#page=howtoplay

    Awards

Weekly Awards: Caches of Victory Points

Players who participate in a battle and are part of the winning Realm will receive Victory Points, should they meet the requirements of that week's battle objectives. They may also receive a trophy that appears in their Trophy Room. There will also be a trophy for being part of the winning Realm overall.

After each battle, participating players in the winning Realm will earn a cache of Victory Points. Others may receive Bonus Victory Points for meeting certain battle objectives, as outlined in each weekly battle.

Grand Prize: Never-Ending Bowl of Custard and Player Title

After the final battle, the Realm that has control over the greatest number of regions overall will receive a special in-game prize that no one else can get in Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning—a Never-Ending Bowl of Custard—and a special player title. The custard may be eaten or hurled at an enemy, and will always be replenished.

In addition, when the Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning servers go live, the capital city for either Order or Destruction will be placed at Rank 2, depending on which one wins overall in Road to WAR.

Prize for Top Individuals: A Special Warhammer Online In-Game Item

Individual honors will also be given for the top Gold earners, best recruiters, and other top competitors throughout the Road to WAR. These players will receive a special in-game item—the Signet of the Cursed Company— to use when they play Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

It's official. There are 200 signets reserved for each Realm's top victory point earners. There are also Signets reserved for the top 10 recruiters from each Realm. But watch for ways to claim one for yourself even if youre not counted among these top players.
