I would love to re-activate my account for 10 FREE days to see what kind of changes SOE has made, perhaps I will buy it again.  But there lies my problem, I havn't got my cd's anymore,image but I do have my account information.  I wonder if they would be willing to provide me with a cd key by giving them my account info? image I would also have to download the game, but I dont mind that really, DSL! hehehe

If anyone can help me, thanks in advance! image

    as of two months ago you could not download SWG via their website. lol, trust me I tried.

    Also, you'll have to rebuy the game if you lost the disk. HOWEVER, you can use the beta disks. As long as you have your original CD key you can use the old beta disk set and then let it update overnight.

    However, if you lost your CDKey, then I think you're in a pickle.

    Also, I would wait as long as possible to see what changes there were.  Because there arent any noticable changes, IMO, from April to the Present...except for the Jedi change.

    If you have any brit friends (or is it possible to order game mags from the UK?) PC Gamer are offering the game client with the October issue of the mag'.

    I would have thought many mag's around the world would be doing the same shortly?

    I still have my game discs.......

    I use them as coasters. Its the only good thing that came out of the year I spent playing.

    Nothing frustrates me more than thinking about how that game went from amazing to horrible in less than a year.

    oh well.

               agrees with starman 500% 3 paid accts, all over a year, 25 completed templates in 8 Galaxies, a Jedi (unlocked in Nov '03) and 2 more toons done with Phase 1 of the Village (all 3 in the same server). I think I have seen all that SWG has to offer/insult to me...  image

    Bah, if they want to "wow" me into coming back then they should let me sample Jump to Light Speed so I can see how the game was supposed to be at the time of origional release.  I'll be on Battlefront instead, thank you, but no thank you SOE.

    lol, I was e-mailed yesterday and invited into JTLS Beta, since 2 of my 3 accts haven't "officially" cancelled yet, but I say, "no thx!" I have a lifelong IRL friend who also was contacted, and he downloaded the Beta, but he is still in SWG. I gave it  80+ hrs a week for over a year (home disabled is how I had the huge amount of  time), but no thx anymore. I have no interest in a completely broken combat system, nor Space anyways... Swords and sorcery will me my new home, and back to the beginning.  image

    After i received my e-mail, I resintalled the game.  Logged onto my master ch and went out to play for a bit.  Game World is still very beautiful, and I really like seeing my rancor again.

    Other than that, I dont think i will be logging in too much more.  SWG could have been great!

    Yes, I will miss my MCH and all my pets as well..  they truly screwed up a wonderful game. I lived there 14 months...  image

    First to some, certain, people posting in this thread, what is the main subject?

    Is it how much you like or dislike SWG?

    Or is it can anyone answer the QUESTION posted by Crazy_Albino?

    When was the last time you played SWG? No major changes have happened in roughly the past 2 months. There were some patches concerning Jedi and BH, but IMHO that does not effect the rest of the game. But still, it is FREEE! How many things in life are free? image

    IF you have played SWG before, then you do not need to use your CD Key ever again. All you need to know is what Name and Password you used to play SWG.

    I don't think they would give someone just a CD Key and no CD. Since CD Keys come with the CDs, or with free trial downloads that can later be turned into paying accounts. But it is possible they will give you a brand new CD Key. Also, even if they did give you a new CD Key, you would not be able to play 10 days for free. The new 10 Trial is for old players  who once played SWG, but stopped playing. If they gave you a new CD Key, they would have no way of knowing if it would be used by an old player, or new player. But you can still try by emailing them, ,and calling them.

     Do you have AIM? If yes, what is your AIM screen name?

     In the past I once sent the entire AC2 game over AIM messenger to a friend of mine who was 800 miles away. It took 4 hours to transfer it. The game worked perfect for her, and she never had to buy the AC2 CD.

     I could send you the SWG game over AIM. Make sure you have 2 GIG of free memory. We both would have to leave our computers on all night long. (AC2 was roughly 800 megs. SWG is roughly 2 gigs). I could do it this coming Friday night into Saturday morning.

     Then after the transfer is done, you could (should image) burn the game to 4 blank CDs as backup copies. You will be able to play SWG for free without having to buy new CDs all over again.

    I just got so frustrated with it all , that I couldnt bring myself to play anymore.

    It seemed pretty obvious to me, that they shipped the game without a Jedi system in place. That they added in the holo system as a temp solution. I mean......it just so happened that the first FS slot was opened on the same day the European servers launched.....so the first system wide message the new players got when they logged in was that someone had just unlocked their FS slot?

    No way that could have been coincidental......it was a cheap marketing ploy, that just proves the current Jedi system is the system that was supposed to be in place all along. they just did that other stuff to keep people playing long enough for them to finish coding the game (at least the game that they should have had finished before it was released)

    The whole game was just a drag after awhile, I will never play again......just have no interest

    Grr it won't let me make my text NOT PINK. Oh well. Anyway.. you don't need a CD KEY to actually install the game. It had asked for your CD key when you created your -account-. If you can get the game installed, and know all your acct info, you can re-activate your account without ever getting your old CD key back to re-enter it. They already KNOW it. So... you're good to go.
