Poll: How do you like PvP?

JimberflyJimberfly Member UncommonPosts: 65

Was curious what people like PvP to be. I don't mean in some game you don't play, or on another server where it doesn't affect you.

I like pvp i love pvp but i do think a game should be made to fit everyones game play habits so either have safe zone's or a pvp option similar to the realms if you attack someone with there pvp on your is turned on and cannot be turned off for like 30 days.So eitherway there are no one really crying about getting pked because they had the choice to be yes or no pvp.

Level restrictions are the only thing that bother the hell out of me. What's the skill or challenge in a level 50 killing a level 5? There should be penalties or SOME form of restriction to prevent massive ganking. If a level 30 engaged the level 50 first, or assisted someone for example it would call for them to be disposed of.

For those that say, "Well what if they KS, or taunt the higher level?", well if they can KS someone way higher they deserve the kill. And the high level should reinforce the fact that they are a lamer. Besides level restrictions, I say game on.

DAoC is my kind of PvP.. they had it perfect.. while lvling there is no fear of being ganked.. all PvP is CLEARLY consensual and every aspect of the PvP had PURPOSE... which made it fun.. also, the fact that you could not communicate with the enemy made it so much more enjoyable because the PvP was (almost) never personal... and no immature trash talking...

yeah, one pvp that got me annoyed was lineage2, bc there was a huge penalty for dieing and you gained nothing for killing someone (outside castle combat) and so it just made it really annoying, but i am for pvp but there is a time and a place for it

I think AC Darktide has ruined me for pvp games.

Trying to start on an open pvp server is challenging but thrilling. You just have to tough it out.

i like eves system, where there are some huge areas where anything goes and then areas where it can occur but not without consequences and then some areas where it is completely restricted, with added system to allow wars between groups anywhere, and a system whereby people can duel anywhere if they both consent.

Full PvP. With maybe the only consequences being a type of faction system that would outlaw you from certain cities via attacked on sight by guards (which I still think contrary to popular belief, guards should not be superman clones, and to take down a powerful outlaw it'd take a large amount of them.)

Although of course then you'd have thief guilds and the sort that you could go to, but then you'd have to watch your purse, and your back.

Which, all PvP is consensual, when you buy the game, or play the server, you're choosing what to do. No one is forcing you to it.
