Ebay and WoW

Opinions on how WoW's economy will end up in retail.

I didn't really get to spend much timr to think about this during the stress test. I realize that soulbound items work like no-drop items do, though.. some items aren't soulbound untill equipped.

Are high end items soulbound on pick up? and how dependant is WoW on game currancy? Important, semi-important, not important?

I hope this stops people from selling items on Ebay. With out the Company that made it get no profits.I know i sure wont stop them but still cuts back on them.
I hate seening the words "You are paying me for the time I spend on getting these items."

By the way anyone stupid enough to buy a WoW Beta account is Lame::::29::

All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.

Well, I'm not specifically talking about buying and selling accounts, more so in game currency (gold, silver etc) and what the demand will be like. Selling in game currency for USD is a very big thing these days, and it's the downfall cause for a lot of games.

I'm curious to know, whether or not in game currency is a very important aspect to WoW or not, because if the game revolves around money, like some other games (cough lineage2) it's only a matter of time.

If there is a high demand for in game currency, people will sell it for US dollars.

Unfourtantly currency is a pretty big part of the economy, IE training tradeskills as a example are no based on currency to learn. I am fairly certain most of the really high end items that arent even in the game yet will be bind on pickup and a group is going to have to decide what group member that item is going to benefit the best to have them pick it up. I think the whole soulbound system will defiantly help curtail ebay'ing items pretty well and personally I think its a good thing. I would be intrested what they might do to curtail currency being ebay'ed.

Unfortunately, you have to be very dependent on money in WoW because they removed skill points completely from what I've heard.image  I REALLY hope they change it back!  You have to buy your skills, I mean it makes sense to pay a trainer, but IMO there should be skill points as well, maybe still a small fee for the trainer.  It only makes sense the more you experience the more skilled you are, thus the skill points.  This won't stop me from playing WoW, it's just a minor thing, and one of very few complaints I have.image

You can already see that people will be selling WoW gold on ebay, I have already seen some people sell it. It was like 100g for 200$ ??
