This isn't the first time Darkfall has ever had a beta registration...
I just wanted to point out that Darkfall has had a beta registration or two in the past that amounted to nothing. Don't get your hopes up too high. If they do have anything like a game, which honestly surprises me, but if they do then I think this might be the lead-up to an actual release now.
After following this game since 2001 I think the chances of a release, given the new video and beta registration, plus the work they have put into getting their trademark application in order and the fact that they must use it in commerce soon or it will expire.... I would say the chance is about 50/50 that this is the lead-up to an actual release for the game.
I'm really interested to see what kind of game they have if it does turn out to be true. Personally, after following how they run their business and interact with their community over the years, I would be the last person to send these guys my money. But this is a game which originally had some great principles at heart, so there is just that small chance that it might be awesome.

Yes they have stated that everyone should sign up regaurdless of whether or not they may have signed up for the Clan Beta in the past.

Yes. Was that a serious question? This thread is not about the Darkfall beta, it is about the past Darkfall "betas" that were announced, even had registrations, and never happened.

Yes there is obviously a reason why it never happened.... whether it be because of company changes, game engine changes, whatever. The thing is this game has a toooooooonnnnnnnnnn of features so lots of things to be implemented and also i dont think the company (Aventurine) is perticularly big so it makes sense that it would take a long time.
Sounds to me like your holding some kind of little grudge or something (Why did you even make this post in the first place?) to be honest because i havnt noticed them be bad to the community (yes they have been slow on updates sometimes but you cant assume its just because they cant be bothered, im sure they really want to get their game released after this long) and how do you know how their company is being run?.... there was a post a while ago explaining that the holiday season is over and they are all working on path for release.

What's the worst that happens? I throw in my beta regestration and wait, if beta happens, it happens. If it DOES happen at least I will have a chance, if not, o well, they plan on the free trial, so all good.
I think it applies to most things on this site quite perfectly.......like this thread for example.

its pritty simple i got what it was about. not hard to realise he was informing people that this game has failed majorly in the past to deliver ,and telling people to becarful about getting al excited becuse this new beta might just be yet another let down god get off your high horse and reach between your legs and pull really hard ... u might find your head one day..

I don't know why people keep posting stuff like this.
Everyone knows that sometimes games get released and suck, sometimes they get released and are good, and sometimes they never get released at all.
I highly doubt even the most hardcore DF fans would really care that much if it released, was terrible and they only played it for 5 minutes before switching off.
We have all seen it countless times before, we don't need people to tell this, we are not stupid and don't live in caves.

Why all the hate for Darkfall ? Seriously have you spent any money on the game yet people ? answer NO.
We bash so many companys that release unready games and yet we do the same shit when they take there time. I call that a hypocracy and maybe people should think would they rather have a company like SOE push a game out a year to early or a company like Aventurine take there time ? I personally would love nothing more then a company take there time and get it RIGHT or atleast try to. You people who flamed Vanguard for coming out way way to early are the same people flamming darkfall for taking there time in development.

Also...I would bet money on beta happening this time. I was taking bets on it before the video and beta came out on friday...and suprise surpise they all backed out of the deal. Some more gracious than others

there was clan beta signup in 2005, thats all.
They originally planned for 2006 release, but had to push that date.

What's pretty simple is this topic is already being beaten to death in 2 recent threads already like the dead horse that it is and is the topic of about 100 other threads in this section in the past. It really didn't deserve yet another thread. If you had your head out of your ass you might know that already though. See I can resort to petty insults as well......now doesn't that make me the big man on the forum!
