You know this little Death has never looked so sexy ad campaign is kinda dissing all humankind.
WTF is so sexy about DEATH?! seriously? Is that overdone model woman sexy? yes of course, but unless shes dead they are seriously mis-wording it.
is a person dieing really that sexy to funcom? Is doing decapatations soo hot?

i think you should be more concerned with the fact that the woman in the ad is only in the game for a few minutes...at the beginning...yet she is more advertised than conan

It is dumb. Also if you look at how she is contorted for that pose its unnatural and makes no real sense to why she would be in that position.
For some reason I have a hunch that a certain someone at a certain headquarters that fails in a certain way ... has submitted a request to have that poor lass realdoll'd.

She's in the latest video talking to one of the devs where he uses her as his only tease for the expansion. Of course she topless so that she can really draw in the big numbers. If sexy doesnt work go with nipples and sexy I guess.

I hated the 'Death never Looked so Sexy' ad from the moment it appeared as well.
It's pathetic that a game that is allegedly meant to be for adults of both genders is using a campaign that is designed for the fantasies of little boys just entering adolescence.
Are they really so desperate that they have to try to appeal to the lowest possible denominator?
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

I voted it's a stupid add for a different reason than the OP.
The reason I dislike the add is because it's not about the game at all.
Since it's a flash animation anyway, they could have easily shown some ingame footage. That would sure look good enough to lure new players, certainly better than the cheap add that it is now.
What are they trying to be? Pimps?

IKShadow I think your missing one of the main points.
its HORRIBLY misworded and implys something very different. If they are talking about how their CG model chick is super sexy so you should buy the game, then they shouldhave worded it differently.

Good graphics = looks good, poor game play and massive subscription loss = death. An omen of failure possibly
i always thought it was an ad to draw women in....but yeah...i guess nerds would dig it too
oddly enough, my wife likes MMOs that have pretty characters, and she hates the way the chicks in AOC look.....took me a few minutes to remember they had faces to be honest...
Well, the stupidity of the ad isn't really what makes a person hate a game, but I do have to admit that it is quite stupid. At first when I'm reading this it's like... WTH?
Death never looked so hot? That's like saying "apple never tasted SO SEXY!!!" it makes no sense.
It's similar to a really bad "your mom" joke to be quite honest.
