I remember when EQ2 did this back for EQ2 was released. I always liked this idea a lot and it should be added more as a feature on ALL official mmo sites.

...but I got a little sad when I looked at the gorilla shot and remembered that I could go nowhere, do nothing... just follow the path to no content...
that is pretty cool...but i think it was starting to make me dizzy toward the end. and for the love of god, if the official US forums were updated the way this avery guy handles it....i think it would shut some people up. don't get me wrong, he hasn't posted anything truely amazing that made me want to hop right back in, but at least the effort is there

Now that you mention it I think I remember seeing the EQ2 ones.
I think they could be better if you could manipulate the picture in a way to maybe show quest objectives, important locations etc.
That is cool, Is there a program to download so you can do it yourself? I do know that Microsoft has Photosynth but it don't look as cool as those shots. Photosynth isnt seamless so it looks funky.
