After reading this thread I found out that there is quite a large number of online retailers that do not allow you to change your address after placing any order (even a pre-order months in advance). They will gladly allow you to cancel your order if it has not shipped yet and re-order, but in the case of a pre-order that is now sold out this is not possible.
It's just a bad situation, not particuarly the fault of the EAStore. It's up to the consumer to educate themselves on company's policies, this guy didn't do that and is now having to deal with it.

EA sucks! So what else is new? Anyway, why preorder? I rather buy the game online and download it. Dont need yet another big box of crap on my shelf. Some preorder pet/mount/cape/epeen/+5%xp whatever, who bloody need it?
What I really get out of this is that some people out there really love the game(s) they are publishing and are willing to spend extra money because they love them.
EA should be doing the exact opposite of what they are doing. They should be bending over backwards for faithful employees. Really bad priorities EA, tisk tisk.
I still love you Mythic, don't worry.

I really don;t see a big deal here. So you can;t change delivery addy, big deal. Anyone with half a brain gets addy forwarding when they move, I thought that was a no brainer but aparently not.
I pre-ordered mine at The Source ( Canadian version of circuit city ), so far no problems.

This happened to me with ebgames also.
I cancelled and went with D2D instead. Much easier. I woudl prefer a box, but, well, stuff it. I save postage fees at least this way.
God I'm starting to hate EA as much as SOE.
