Play.com are listing it as 4th of November...
not that that's in anyway a full confirmation... It would mean that we should get the new pre-xpac patch sooner rather than later though.
will have to wait and see ^^

Wowinsider is already speculating for days now on Nov 4(US) and Nov 5(EU).
As this weekend the new 3.0 prepatch launch will go to the PTR's and every new patch is about 25 days tested; we would have the prepatch 3.0 on live servers at the end of Sep.
In TBC the 2.0 prepatch was launched Dec 5th (I think), and TBC came on Jan 16.
But a spokesman said they would somewhat lessen the period between the pre patch launch and the expansion. Because of the add-on problems and these could stop the Raids for a few weeks.
So Nov 4th is a very good guess. (Beta would then be 4 months, in TBC beta was 3 months and 3 weeks).
I think the biggest problem for the launch will be the open PvP zone of Lake Winter as this is a first for Blizzard and they want to have it done "right".
until Blizzard release a date, anything else is pure speculation.
Having said that, a guild mate has played the beta, and if Blizzard are working to the same quality standard they did when TBC launched, they've at least a couple of months there, most likely more. the raid content is still yet to be tested apparently, among other things. some areas are still unfinished, and a lot of bugs still remain. it's shaping up, but a more likely speculation would be december, from what i've heard anyway, unless there's some major leaps.
time will tell though, myself, i'll be waiting until it's Blizzard doing the telling

IMO it will be a lot later than November 4th.
WotLK needs a LOT more testing before it's even NEAR ready on Nov. 4th.

Last thing I read (can't remember where... so no link... sorry) was that Blizzard won't even commit to a 2008 launch, so it could very well end up being delayed like TBC. But let's hope for the best...

I must admit that i would be surprised to see a 2008 launch at the moment, but UK wise vendors are all over the place with dates which just goes to show that none of them have any idea yet;

I would guess that Gamestation is probably the closest and if the last expansion is anything to go by we probably have a large patch to come first before launch, but who knows?

This weekend that last "big" patch is already on the Public Test server.
The content on the Public Test server is mostly about 20 to 25 days before being publishd on our live servers.
Also everyone in Beta can copy his character to level 80 now : end content.
Hear it boys... end content open (somebody should mail this to FunCon and Mythic).
Of course the long and trusted WoW hating troll of Minutemaid excepted, I wish you all read at least the latest news ...
