any great mmo's with instances?

suitedcrssuitedcrs Member Posts: 1

hello community!

i've been scouting the internet for quite a time now, looking for a free mmo that has INSTANCES! (you know, like in world of warcraft, and possibly in many other games that i havnt played)

instances was one of the reasons i played world of warcraft. I simply loved finding a group, and then going into that dirty dungeon together!

so, if anyone knows of a great mmo that has instances, please let me know, thanks :)

In my opinion if you love instances you might just enjoy Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Every adventure/dungeon/module is an instance. There are some limited adventure zones but essentially you are going into instances with traps, events, treasure chests, locked gates, scripted encounters, etc.

A D&D module if you will.

DDO has a great combat system that is tailor made for the instance environment. The failing of DDO for many is the aspect you love the most so you may just find a home there.

I believe there is a free trial.

Edit: My mistake, you wanted a free game. Ah well, check it out anyway. Good luck. I think 'Sword of the New World: Granado Espada' is instance heavy as well

Instances are not required to find a group and do a dungeon together.

Agreed. Infact dungeons are much more fun when they're not instanced.

I'm not sure what an 'instance' is, but if you are looking for a free multiplayer game you might try OGame.  Once you join an alliance you can fleet up with other members to attack and defend planets.

OGame is almost a text-based game (hey, it's free!), but even so it is incredibly addictive.  It's also known as O-crack, so be careful.

CoX - is all about getting a group together and doing a mission, which is instanced.

The general consensus says guild wars actually isn't an MMO

Also it's "MMOs" not "MMO's" grr

Yeah, because it's so fun and immersive going to a secret, deep, dark, lost dungeon full of great mysteries, and finding two dozen other adventurers waiting in line for the evil enemies to respawn.

    ???

You must have something wrong with your keyboard....since your "i" key makes an "o," your "m" key makes an "x" and your "a" key makes a "y".

You should get that looked at.

Actually, fighting over those resources is also very fun. You probably play a game without full-on PvP with no risk so it seems boring to you. But that's your choice of game, sadly.....
