If you are looking for a good game, Runescape is it. This is an awesome game. Skills to train, NPCs to fight, and a PKing system. There are lots of skills such as magic, prayer, mining for ores, then using the ores on a furnace to make bars, then use them on an anvil to make armor and weapons. Cooking is a good skill to, when your hits are low from fighting, you can make food to heal you hits back to normal. There are all different types of armor and weapons. They are not all equal. Some are really expensive and are really good, and those cheap are not all that good. This is slightly modern but mostly medieval. There are general stores and banks, and then specific stores, as in an archery store. This is an exellent game and I highly recommend it. www.runescape.com is the site. Can't vote on anything for this poll. CPUs get REALLY hot, I never play on them
But yeah hehe, 6 years I've been playing with comps.
As for Runescape, doesn't that cost like $12 a month? Thanks, but I'll save my cash for something with better graphics.

Runescape is a free game to play with quests and all sorts of skills. But there is a premium members account which costs a little bit of money, it's no where near $12 I think.
The account gives you is an extra area to explore, alot more quests, and two skills Thievery and Fletching. You can also make a couple extra extra items in each of the skills and you can weild spears, non-premium members cannot.
So it is free and your not loosing anything at all really if you don't become a premium member, the only reason I would consider becoming a premium member would be because of the quests. There are like 15 quests and i've beaten them all.
But you can still get your skills up and do coo stuff like go into the wilderness and have some good ol PvP.

And let me guess, thieving lets you steal from other players and if your not a pay memeber you can get stolen from?

Not at all buddy, all I did was add another game to the thread starters list of fun games to try out.
Both games Tibia and Runescape have pretty much the same concept, both are free online mmog's, both have player killing, both have sh*t for graphics, both have an option to upgrade to a p2p account.
So next time please think before insulting my posts..

Sorry if you misunderstood me. I was mereley pointing out that I thought that this thread was for discussion of RS, not free MMO's in general. P'apse I was wrong.
Also, I cant say Ive seen the game your talking about, but RS graphics arnt shit.

I used to play runescape, had awesome stuff. I remember when there was only one server and no members! THAT WAS A LONG TIME AGO! lol anyway, I used to play runescape, but then bought Lineage 2 and now I quit runescape and I am playing Lineage2(since North American Closed Beta) I do not like the PvP in Runescape, There is a lot of skills in runescape which is good but I am more of a PvPer and Grouper which there is no grouping in Runescape, If you are like me do not play Runescape!

runescape sucks... straight up... sucks...
only people who play RS (IMO) are "l33t" kiddies who dont have enough allowence money to pay for a descent MMO...
the community is horrid... filled with scammers and racist, immature, l33t kiddies
the economy is fooked... how good can an economy be LITTERALLY brought to its knees by 1 (one) player (musashi anybody?)
combat is HURTIN...
PvP... equally hurtin...
weapon/armor variety is complete CRAP...
the world is insanely small... even on members...
i dont even want to get into graphics/sound...
and dont try to call me a noob or anything... i played runescape for about 6 months, managed to make a level 72 Pure, and shared 90+ (havnt tried him in RS2 yet so im not sure of exact level)...
keep in mind this was back in my "l33t kiddie" mmorpg newb days (back when the game only had 4 servers)...
in closeing, RuneScape is a sad sad excuse for an MMORPG, newby training gound...

Although i dont like runescape much it has gone a long long ways in improvements since it first came out.But me ill stick with the realms for awhile mainly because i been playing realms for like 6+ years now lol.

I hate Runescape. I don't know why I loved it before. But I'm glad I checked out DnL and other MMORPG that are way better than Runescape. I'm glad I realise how horrible this game is. In fact, it doesn't deserve a high score. What are you guys thinking? This MMORPG is complete crap!
Run + escape = Runescape. Run and escape from Runescape.

The reason people here hate RS is because they are used to playing shorter, less dence MMOs. Think of disked games as fast food and RS as a posh eatery somewhere in toff land. The commoners hate the posh places food, and the toffs obviously hate fast food. Now Im not here to argue about which games are better than others, Ive played plenty and found RS to be far more fun for a much longer time than anything else. Im entitled to that opinion as everyone else is to theirs.
