fileplanet download errors?

Was curious if anyone else got a mirror download error after waiting in line for 6 hours and downloading 60% of the file........
Thanks fileplanet, looks like ill be missing out on the game on sunday...now that im 675 in line and have to redownload the entire file.... Whats the purpouse of this download manager from fileplanet if it doesnt allow me to pick up where it left off?
anyone have a bit torrent link?
This was my first time using fileplanet for a download and it really just made a horrible first impression on me.
I mean, is this "download manager" going to actually pick up where it left off after i wait in line for another 6 hours?

Well im not going to pay $7 for a service that didnt work with my trial of it...seriously pay $7 when it gives you errors downloading a large file....sure i wont have to wait in line but the error was a mirror error not a wait in line for free service error.
I would much rather use bit torrent....no lines and its never failed a file ever for me...also if it should stop downloading it will resume where it left off...this download manager is a joke since it said nothing about resuming download and only gave me the option to redownload...sorry bit torrent is looking much better than fileplanet premium at the moment

It can be done without paying for it if you started it last night. I started the whole process around 9PM EST (approximately). From waiting in que, to completed download, it was done the next morning around 10:30AM or so. If you happen to have started in que now, it may be ready for you by tomorrow.
By the by, my download speed varied anywhere from 400KB/s to a high of 1.1 MB/s

i think you both are missing the point.
I waited in line, was a long wait but no big deal.
It downloaded overnight (i have dsl atm so nothing too fast, but faster than a web browser download)
About 30 min ago i check up on the files progress to find it encounterd an error with the mirror download, giving me the option to try it all again.
I was sheduled to complete the full download in about 3hours when this failed.
So now i have to start over from scratch? no resume downloads and i have to wait in a 6 hour line again, no big deal if i can resume downloading since i dont care how long it takes, as long as its finished come sunday.
Im now worried that ill wake up on sunday only to get the same error again.
Really my origional question was...has this problem happend to anyone else...why would fileplanet upload to me an errored file?

your lucky , i guess fileplanet is next to your house.
I got DCed in the middle of free downloading. so i paid 7dollars. the speed is about 50-150kb/s

I think hes got high speed, i have DSL and i was about 140-150kbs steady untill it failed on me 40 min ago.
i guess its unassuring that other free downloaders are getting dc'ed...leavs me little hope the file will complete by sunday. Did the file resume for you?

Sounds like you were extremely unlucky, personally I had no problem with the free fileplanet DL (to answer your original question). I'd say you would be better off trying a torrent though (sorry no link to offer). If you can't find one try FP again, since the keys are basically gone, I doubt the system is as flooded today.

It should resume after re-connect. but I got so mad when i was DCed, I deleted everthing.. after that I realized i could not find other source to download the client. then i went back to fileplanet, paid the money.

the line at FP is 700+ long, luckily im only 600 in line.
Will the download resume once i wait the line out? If so ill have the client by sunday and ill be happy.
Also if i download from bit torrent will i need another key to activate? Ive already activated my key and im not sure if that limits me to the fileplanet download.

thanks leo for answering my question about if it resumes...im very relieved to hear that it will. Im no longer worried about having to deal with a 15 hour download on sunday after waiting in line for 6 hours. Gotta love DSL for all your large file downloads...
I'm getting the same errors. I went to sleep at 68% or so last night and woke up to find an error had occured. I tried again and went back to sleep. Woke back up and I got the same error, but I'm not sure if anything else downloaded before the errors had happened. I'm currently retrying it yet again. 601 in a line of 732. I'm just relieved to hear that it picks up where it left off, otherwise I'd have gone crazy by this point in time.
