The movie looks great yeah, one of the good ones they've released. Hopefully its a prelude to open beta Have you checked out the official forums and warcry's dev journals? There is a lot of useful information there that will defintiely help you appreciate the game on a newer level
i know there's a lot of people complaining about graphics and moreso about the animations... i thought the graphics were great. not the best ever, but most of us looking forward to darkfall agree that gameplay > graphics.
as far as animations go, i personally wasn't all that impressed, specifically with spell animations and particle effects, etc. but i understand that with darkfall expecting 100v100 battles, we shouldn't really expect to see anything much better than what we saw in the video. some of the other animations (like running) could have been a little smoother, although it seemed fine in some scenes, and i think it's because slow motion was used to make it more dramatic, when it really just made the animations seem more clunky than they really are.
either way... graphics/animations are something that can always be updated and improved on, and as far as pvp gameplay goes, i was ecstatic from what i saw in the video.

After watching the 17 minute video, all I can say is wow...
It's a game definately worth checking out for all of us that are getting burned out of the whole kill x amount of this monster MMO's that recycle the same scripts for epic encounters over and over again.
Hey, head over to the official forums like some others said so them selves. Pretty cool over there less flame wars between mentally disabled carebares.

hmm, we can add one thing about the graphic/gameplay for new people here at the DF section.
Right now there is many MMOs that you can play if you like good graphic, but for the ones that pick gameplay....there isnt as many to choose from.
But with DF, the gameplay gamers might get one more to choose from (and the graphic isnt THAT bad).

Yep the video definitely opened a lot of eyes and turned a lot of the naysayers into fans of the game.
Open beta in a month hopefully with a release shortly after.
We have a few great threads in this forum for new players to ask questions, but there is definitely a lot of info over on the main official forum
