New Darkfall Video!
Well, it is new, it is about Darkfall and it is a Video.

Constructive video approved. About the music: I know it's odd, but I have it on my PC for some years now and wanted to use it for along time.

Please stop. Seriously, do we really need more fan "remixes" of the same old content about DF? It is already INFURIATING trying to search for videos about Darkfall because the official videos from Aventurine have been lost in a sea of fanmade crap. And they all just rehash the same old bits of footage that we have already seen -- what is the point of another video unless it tells us something new about the game. Why should anyone watch your video, when they will not learn a thing from it because all your content is from other videos.
And I don't think Aventurine would be happy with you slapping their logo/intro on the front of something made by you. All it does is add even more confusion because it makes your video look like an official video.

I know that you will make another one after this. Maybe this was your first one? Me myself is a amateur filmmaker and know how fun it is to make these kind of stuff. Still, i have never made a game trailer, but now i will try.

If you guys are really going to try to make videos promoting the game...you need to take off the logos and other stuff that the developers created. Make your own intro scenes of text, you are hurting the game otherwise.
I can appreciate the effort, but it made the game look bad. Especially when there are so many of these and they link them all over various forums and like the guy i quoted said...it makes the official ones get lost and people new to the game have no idea which is which cause YOU USE ALL OF THE OFFICIAL LOOKING LOGOS AND INTROS THAT THE OFFICIAL VIDEO USED.

The video was more of a fun video. I've never tried it before so I gave it a shot. Just looking for feedback, ain't gonna hurt the game

You cannot throw those logos around like that and make it look like a Darkfall trailer. Im sure Adventurine wont doing anything against you but a company could nail your ass to the wall for that.
When fans make a trailer they usually give themselves credit for it and then state that footage is from the official trailer, etc.
I think the reason why some people are a little peeved or concerned about this video is because you designed it to look like something Adventurine made when they clearly did not make that video (they did the video...but Im talking about the actual trailer)
You may want to reword your trailer. Look at other mmorpg related in game videos if you need to. Cause right now, you are sorta violating Adventurine copyright.
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
there's no harm in creating a fan video. obviously people watch all those stupid naruto videos mixed to linkin park, even though they've probably seen those scenes from the show. people make these videos because they enjoy it, and believe it or not, there are others out there who enjoy watching them. tbh, i think some of the fanmade trailers (like muffins) were better than just the raw footage of the game.
i, for one, thought your video was pretty good. i didn't care for the music all that much, but i thought it was well done and i'm glad people are making these videos because i know they enjoy making them and i enjoy watching them.
however, i'm not so sure aventurine likes people using there logos now that i think about it, but if they didn't like it, you think these videos would have been removed or something by now.
I first got excited about Darkfall after watching muffins video and I believe I'm not the only one (read about several others at the forums) so I really doubt it hurts the game. The more Darkfall videos you have the bigger is the hype and Brannoc even linked fansites who made their logos out of Darkfall's Logos.
Besides: In my video describtion I clearly stated I did not create that footage. "It features content of the latest Gameplay Trailer, the "Location Test Video" and of the "Darkfall Battle" Video."

I really dont see why you cant edit your video and remove the official logos.
I mean it is pretty much agreed on that you are in the wrong in using their logos and into, so why not just make it more personalized.
Just because they havent taken it down doesnt mean its right.
it is plagarism...yes even though the rest of the video is using their ingame footage, you kind of give them credit to that, but the into needs to change.

I wouldn't worry about the police breaking down your door, but on a matter of principle is just is not right to pass off their work as your own. I mean some of these videos (and i have not seen yours so i dont know) are just taking the video and putting new music to it. I mean if you want to do that fine, but at least show some creativity and make your intro and credits a little different.
I mean i see some that dont even credit the music they used in the credits, and they just do the Darkfall 2008 ending.
