I've always enjoyed healing and ressing and I think zealot would be a fun class to play.
I'm new to Warhammer and have yet to play. However, preordered a month ago and am awaiting tomorrow morning, lol. The last game I was into (playing 8 hours at a time) was World Of Warcraft. Which, ended 6 months after it came out. Due to the battlegrounds etc....how it switched from World PVP Fun in beta to battlegrounds and instances only, really ticked me off and I couldn't do instances 24/7, so I left.
Warhammer looks really good and it looks to be a lot different. It caught my eye since early last year. I've been wanting in closed beta, but so have so many other people. Finally the time has come.
I guess my main question is, what class are you choosing? I really want to know. I don't know much about Warhammer so have a ton to learn. I've read the Warhammer Faq, watched Youtube vids over the year, and have been reading reviews and guides left and right trying to learn it before starting my own Journey in Warhammer to fucking pwn, lol. It's all about pvp baby. Even if you're healing.
I know others are wondering this as well...so I thought I would ask those who have been playing and really know the game by now.
Another quick question is, in your opinion which do you think is the best DPS class? And which is the best healing class?
What class are you going to be?

What healing class do you like/think is the best?
Don't even bother with order or destruction. I just want to know, what classes in general are you thinking of going?
Thanks! Hopefully I get some good replies to help me even further my choice on which class I'm officially going to go. I'm leaning to go Destruction / Chaos / Zealot. But, I would like to know everyones opinion on the classes.

For a DPS, I fell in live with the Sorc after watching the new Cinematic.
Healers....i've always played hybrid healers. Don't think i'll Play one this time as a Main; however, When I Choose one it will probably be a Shaman just for the comedic effect of the greenskins.
I have been playing a Zealot throughout the PW and having some fun, they are very interesting healers.. the class isen't for me though and I doubt I'll be playing it at launch. I don't like being a kind of armed field medic in this game.. I mean, I love the way they can switch between heals and damage, but I would much rather be doing high DPS. It is a very cool class though. And the plague doctor armor on the character screen looks amazing.
I'll be playing a Witch Hunter and a Sorceress for high DPS. My favorite classes so far.

Thanks. I was actually thinking about playing a witch hunter to be honest, they look to be pretty solid and I've always loved hunters on other games. I'm still undecided. So many to choose from and the funny thing is, they all boil down to just a few different ways of going about them. Meaning, either you want to tank, do high dps, or heal. It's as simple as that. And then it goes into the specifics of what each different class does involved with each different way you choose to go about your player. I either will go high dps or some kind of healer to be honest.
I really like chosen, though. But, warrior types have never been my thing.. I like to stay back and either do damage, do damage and heal, or just heal.
My main will probobly be a Shaman, but during OB i'll be testing out some other characters and see If I like anything else.

judging from your post i dont think you understand quite what witch hunter is. There not a traditional hunter in the sence of a ranged attack dps; there more of a melee rouge that has a ranged attack when needed. ive been thinking of playing one also
The one mechanic that has me sold on the chosen is Twisting. This mechanic tends to drive off alot of people....ensuring a lower pop class, something i enjoy.
Lots timing, button pressing or whatever....the condition carpeltunel gets tossed around alot when talking about twisting...I can't wait!

I skimmed over the classes on warhammer online. It's really just too much to take in reading about each class, which is exactly why I came here to get a few players opinions
All I know is, I want to enough dps in pvp to kill someone, and at the same time heal...sort of like shamans...but from what I've read they can't do good damage on here? or can they?....I guess I may just be trying all classes in beta haha...I hope I can pick one before the head start begins.
I would like more opinions on classes and those that players are choosing as their main class, maybe tell us why.
Personally I'll be playing a Disciple of Khaine (DoK). Relatively high melee damage and AoE heals for fun + fast paced group combat. Sounds to me like that'd be interesting for you, too.
Apart from the obvious danger of being a healer in melee range, needing to hit enemies in order to heal, the damage is superior to the other healers and the game play takes more control and expertise in order to shine, imho. ...and they're not *that* squishy at all, really. Focus fire on anything that's not a tank and it's good night for that class of course, but the DoK can certainly hold his own generally.
Not the best single target healer, but very good, continuous aoe group healing. Couple this with pretty high damage and the group won't need the 10% extra healing that e.g. the Zealot provides, as the enemies won't be around to damage your team
Well that's the theory. Depends entirely on the match-ups, of course - e.g. there's not much answer to a Bright Wizard zerg unless you quickly close to melee range
. But in large battles it's awesome to have the AoE heals and debuffs of the DoK in the middle of things, and have a ranged healer help from afar. Really buggers the enemy to not be able to focus on ranged or in-your-face healing, needing to spread their effort to stop the heals from coming in.
What class are you going to be?
I have allways found the Chosen ( S/W ), as the class i like to play. But i find it a broken, more or less as the did to the paladin in DAOC and in other MMO.
There dps are low, the have no nukes. And there defence scale are a joke. If you us 2h, you defence is allmost the same as if you use shield.
What is your fav. dps class?
Chosen, As a unholy defence tank, i was hoping for alot more dps, though dark magic.
Now the wep. dps allways is a joke.
What healing class do you like/think is the best?
I like the Chosen ability to heal, but not the ideer of that the healing only comes form other team members action. And the healing are as allways so low that its a joke. Give a class whit 5k hp, a short healing, that heal for like 50 pr tick. Thats a joke. ( And then give a WP ( High dps/ full plate, magic abilitys )instens, hot, ect. for heals)
But my quess is im still going to play this class, becuse i love. Shield/w. and resistens.
- If not this class maby Magus. But this class is still weak. even after the fix.

Runepriest i like that class so much , even more since 4.1 with the new grimnir shield spell that reduce damage by 50% and reduce AP usage by 35% for 10 sec , save my butt alot .

Thanks. Will do. So far, REALLY loving the Zealot class. Up to level 7 in pvp and in pve and it's a lot of fun. I'm sure I'll be making a healing class, working on it first. Then, I'll probably either make a Shaman, Witch Hunter (order =/), or Chosen. Def. will go with Zealot to start off and get him up around max level. Then to work on a dps class. Have 2 classes and be set. I'll probably try other classes this week though, to make sure Zealot is the one I like best. So far though like I said, can't complain. Alot of fun.

I decided to give Witch Hunter a shot this weekend, since I've mainly been playing Zealot/Rune Priest. To say that the class is frustrating in RVR is an understatement for me. You're pretty much relegated to caster defense in case other melee squishies get past your lines--survivability is almost nil as a WH, even with someone healing you. Black Orcs and Chosen seem to be my nemesis, even Marauders give me trouble. I can pretty much only kill casters, and only when I get the drop on them. That's pretty rare in RVR.
I wanted a DPS class to compliment my healer, but Witch Hunter isn't going to be it. My experience with this class suggests they're going to have a lot of problems with open RVR, which is what I am primarily interested in. It would be decent for solo ganking lone destro casters should the opportunity arise, but that's not what I'm playing WAR for.
