Cant patch!! (please help me before i kill things

Hi all, whenever i double click my exe i get an error saying something along the lines of 'unable to retrieve update from server try again soon' and i assumed this would stop happening today when they released the final update to bring our versions up to OB ready. but ive heard other people that have been able to autoupdate theres before.
Does anybody know a way to get around this error, or a site or torrent that i could maybe get the update from? any help would be greatly appreciated as im really panicking like a fucker. Thank you

Early preview weekenders could patch. OB couldn't. Wait a couple hours until you see the 'Servers are up' type of post then try again. If it fails then, you have to start troubleshooting. Otherwise get to killing (in game ONLY!)
Thanks for the help mate. My friend who has also preordered his game and is waiting for OB to start has told me that he has patched up and when he opens his exe he actually reaches a log in screen....
WTH? I keep getting "Authentication failed. Please re-enter your log in credentials".
the patch servers are not up yet. later this morning hopefully.

There has been a little confusion out there in the community and so we wanted to clear a few things up. First, there’s no truth to the rumors that Open Beta is going to start at 12:01 AM Sunday. We do plan to open the gates tomorrow morning, though, and we’ll let you know here on the Herald as soon as we do. We expect to have a fairly smooth transition from Preview Weekend Plus into Open Beta.
If you are already participating in Preview Weekend Plus, or if you are a member of our Closed Beta test:
You will not need to take further steps to play the Open Beta. Just log in as you have this weekend and enjoy the plunder, chaos (or Order <wink>) and adventure that ensues.
If you have an Open Beta association but were not invited to participate in Preview Weekend:
All you need to do is be sure that you have entered your Standard Edition or Collector’s Edition Preorder Open Beta Codes into the Mythic Account Center. (http://accounts.eamythic.com) Then, when the announcement is made here on the Herald tomorrow, log in and FIGHT!

That news flash from Herald was posted last night just before midnight so the bets are still on
so lemme get this straight, i need to wait for the servers to come on, so i can patch up to the current version which will then allow me to log in (once ive signed up) yea?
FILE PLANET SHOULD BE SUED FOR THIS MADNESS OR GIVES US ALL FREE MONTHS!
