Is this for real?
Ever since Runescape's wilderness got nerfed, I've been searching for a game like this.
Player-looting.....
Runescape-style levelling system.....One character that can be a ranger, mage, warrior, etc and can change his class mid-game, am I correct about this?
Open PvP everywhere...
And from what I understand, graphics and a combat system that are far superior to Runescape's.
It seems perfect in every way.
Can this really be for real?

I know runescape graphics are hard to beat, but i believe DF's is a tiny bit better.

Yes, you can loot everything after you have killed someone.
Yes, one character can have all the skills/spells in game with no hardcap. There is only a softcap for skills/spells, when you have crossed that line your levels start slowly decay if you don't use them.
Yep, you can kill that Chinese gold farmer and take all his gold.
The graphics are good, except there has been some rants about spell graphics being 10-years old. The combat system is real-time FPS. Do you hit or miss, it's up to you.

. You could try out Shadow Bane, it too has open PvP almost everywhere, loot and city building.
yeah reminds me of the day i first saw muffins' "Darkfall is coming" video having just started sketching out my perfect game on paper (i'm a professional programmer). It was a moment of pure joy.

Yes but its better than that, it doesnt have a leveling system in that way. More like skill-system since darkfall doesnt have levels to grind. It is skills u get better at, take a sword, use it and u get better at swordmanship. Also Darkfall doesn´t have classes. Pickup some spells and use a staff then ure a mage right ? Altough there are talk that DF will have prestige classes that u can choose from, this will enable use of some prestige class spells/skills and disable some others.
And yes darkfall Is a dream, but it´s coming true ;D

you cant get them all you can be no way you can GM them tho with decay getting worse if you have too many

That was my first MMO. Rubbish graphics and combat system (basically point, click, and auto-attack)
But still far superior to WoW. It's PvP, even though point-and-click, was much more exciting due to the risk of losing your items. It's quests were also better.
A pity they turned their PvP system into a battlegrounds-based system. Now the game is simply a WoW-clone with worse graphics and gameplay.
Darkfall will fill the void left by the absence of the Runesape wilderness though, wait and see ^_^

Is this game real?
No, it is not. However, it may become real, in the next 3 months...
The time to ask this question (and others) is in January of next year.... because if it hasnt happened by then, it is unlikely to happen at all.

It Is oh so true and freakin sweeet, I have been following thios game since 04 and that is not even long compared to some. This game has so much potential and it will be interesting to see how they do things
Done some more research on the game.....And I think this will be without a doubt the best MMORPG of the decade
Might be pushing it, If all the features are implemented then yeah, like you said, without a doubt. I'm not a troll, if anything i'm a fanboy... but i'm still skeptical about if everything they promise will be in the game when it launches.
lol best of the decade? hopefully not. but its a good start... that will hopefully spawn many more contenders on the sandbox, ffa pvp full loot, no instances, genre.

Might be pushing it, If all the features are implemented then yeah, like you said, without a doubt. I'm not a troll, if anything i'm a fanboy... but i'm still skeptical about if everything they promise will be in the game when it launches.
i highly doubt tasos would say its feature complete when its not
seamless worlds cant have gfxs like AOc for a long time yet unless they learn how to stream more at once

Why not? He said it was feature complete five years ago. No MMO is ever really feature complete. There's always one more thing they would like to add. Then another and another ad infinitum.
well i think its featurecomplte for release meanign there not going to add anymore until after release 5 years ago it was until they decided to upgrade everything

It always breaks my heart when i find out people waist there lives on runescape, 2008, *sigh*
just make sure your computer will be able to handle it man. Like, an intel Celeron based computer will NOT cut it.
