I just got off the phone with senior management at GOA and I know you'll be getting lots of information shortly. I know it doesn't make today better but I can assure you that leadership is very aware of the situation and they are doing/going to do something about it. They are not at all happy about the situation either.
I won't say trust me on this because right now, our European fans have no reason to have any trust. I will say though to see what transpires before launch, during Open Beta and then, if we launch well, I hope we will regain your trust.

wait on the info i guess, i got a feeling its gonna say we have done all we can for today things will resume tomorrow.
Well anything is good for me, OB is not that important for me.
The main reason I want in is to see how good my computer can handle the game, especialy now when theres a "Zerg Invasion".
I know (hopefully) that the Headstart will be better, since there aint gonna be as many then as it is now.
And with CE Headstart which starts 1 day before the normal one, I feel kinda safe... kinda...
But I hope, for the rest of the people, and for their sake, that they will get this OB working as soon as possible. But I say, better to wait then rush.

Eh Mark, why doesnt EA learn from their own mistakes?
What I just can't understand is how Mythic chose GOA yet again. Marc Jacobs and all the others at Mythic knew how bad they were at handling DAoC!!! Why, why choose them again? Are they the cheapest european company to use? Do they really feel that european customers are not important anyway?
Chosing GOA in the first place, not todays debacle, is why Mythic does not have my trust!

cos goa was prolly the cheapest crap on the market, or the ones who paid more for the game or a combination of both w/e.
Same happened with turbine when they sold the eu rights to host the game to crappy codemasters.
Maybe so, but I must say I am actually happy with how Codemasters is handling Lotro! Much better than I thought. And not like GOA handled DAoC, with patches coming weeks and weeks after the american patches!

nowadays connections between Europe and US are quite good generally speaking.. so i dont even get why to have an Europe distributor at all. Kick Goa out of the equation put everyone on the us server and youll get a huge amount of players happily jumping like bunnies. simple
its really not just that simple with the americans and europe playing... the servers would be pretty full anyway (ok stress test ftw) but but but with everyone playing plus our time taken to send and recieve info the lag would be incredible lol but tbh wuld be nice just to play :P lag or no lag
