Well, not really..lol. Reason you may ask? I'm a Zealot. All I do is heal heal heal em and I've trying doing damage knocking out the gay homo guards with the other players, doing 88-100 damage per hit ye w/e....still only level 6.
Point blank, getting pissed. I'm healing the whole time, yelow bar staying halfway or less, same with when I'm hitting the mobs. Yet, I'm always on the roll as #10-20. One time tonight out of 12 I got a bonus of over 200, but my roll was 300. WOW YAY. This roll system, really starting to piss me off. I'm seeing these tanks get these cool looking swords, LOL while I sit here with a tat on my back with a little dagger. I've gotten a few items from the quests but Jesus. I've also been going into the battlegrounds after each quests when available, if I'm in the middle of a public quests I won't go if accepted.
I also do solo quests regularly. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and someone could lead me in the right direction on how to score a little armor faster. I feel naked at level 7, normal, but on this game level 7 is level 12-15 to a game like wow (NOT TRYING TO COMPARE, LOL). Don't kick me in the nuts just try to help me and let me know wtf to do. I am getting attached to this damn game, must say. Fun as hell, especially the RVR. I usually do about 12k-15k healing in there.
I love this class but it seems like since we don't do that much damage, we aren't getting rolls like we should, which is leaving us left behind. I'm already feeling this way. Is there a way to get armor through RVR
GREAT AND MY GAME JUST CLOSED AGAIN WHEN I MINIMIZED IT...WTF...My game has closed 4 times today for no reason at all. There are so many bugs in this damn game....
"This mob is not available right now, w/e it says"
"When you do a special move, it jerks you around and takes forever"
Little bugs but non the less, annoying...and I'm sure there are more....sigh but hey it's beta and hopefully right when we get into the main game some of these get taken care of...oh back on subject....someone tell me wtf i need to do to get armor. I know you can spend your influence points..
Oh and to end it, I LOVE PUBLIC QUESTS all in all, they are really neat. PVP is way better, though.
Maybe I shouldn't be worrying about armor so much until rank 11+....dunno
Q: How many rewards can I get from a Public Quest?
A: You can get one per zone. Since the Public Quests are broken up into multiple chapters, you won't be finished with the Quest after the first segment. You'll be moved to another area for the second or third part of the quest. As you finish each part of the Public Quest, you'll gain influence in that area and be able to spend your influence with the designated NPC of that area. At the end of the Public Quest, if you've managed to stick with it until the end, you'll get a reward there as well. So if a Public Quest had 4 parts to it, you could end up with 4 rewards.
I know you can spend it, yes. I kind of know how the chapters work. But wtf is he talking about, you'll get a reward there as well....it's not guaranteed you retarded bagoon. LOL...is it?

Game has been running fine on my pc got level 16 pve and 10 pvp. And I find the public quests to be alot of fun, easy to finish and gives good equipment rewards. Now I just need to take off a couple days work when headstart begins.
i was thinking.....wait....um what?
lol, k.....Well I'm level 7 in both areas. I'm trying to level in both areas at the same time, it's working out kind of nicely to be honest with you. I'm just wondering the best way to get equipment for a healer, I trully don't think it's through public quests because....I heal heal and heal and yet rank low when I know I'm doing over 15k healing total on these public quests sometimes....guess it'll just take healers a little longer to get items....that's all.
I cannot relate.
I know shamans have more damage than zealots, but still, I wasn't doing much. All I would do on my shaman is drop a DoT or two on a mob, and heal anyone I see who was low on health. Brain Bursta if everybodies health was idle.
It was hard for me not to come in first if I was even half paying attention... same result on my Warrior Priest.
EDIT: And it runs really smooth on my computer as well. Have only had one CTD since PW plus began.

Well I'm in a server with greedy people then, LOL. I saw 7 people a second ago around the quest area with these lit up swords....they were all tanks...it's nuts. I don't think I'm getting in the top 10 because it's too crowded at the moment and there's too many people doing damage to the mobs...probably not the reason...let's see....I can't say I suck I mean I'm a decent healer. Maybe it's because all I'm doing is healing. I'll try to knock in damage as well and see where that leads me. I don't do great damage though. Shamans are better and I would expect them to do better as far as these public quests go, but warrior priest really? =/ ..interesting post eh...guess I'll have to keep trying.
Plus I've had bad luck with rolls all night. If they get 400's and I get 900, I'm in business. But eh, I've been getting 300,400,got over 500 a few times...eh..is the roll random? then bonus is added to it?
Go to the Warcamp infront of the RvR area and buy renown gear. I believe the best Tier 1 Renown gear goes up to Level 9 and RR6, but you should be able to get some of it. Otherwise, PQs are the other best way to get gear. But not just from the loot bags; finding the rally master and chosing your influence rewards really helps (mainly for weapons). I'm not sure how much you know, but basically you gain influence for a specific chapter by doing PQs within that chapter. There are three points at which you can get an item from the rally master. You can see these points clearly on your influence bar. The third and final point gives you a nice item.
Hope this helps!
First of all, your chance of getting a good bonus is equal whether you do damage or just heal. Second, yes, the roll is random and then your bonus gets added. This keeps the one or two most powerful people from ALWAYS winning the awesome loot.

My Warrior Priest does decent damage, as he uses a two-hander. Using divine assault and all that jazz, I can get some decent healing off and decent damage off all in one... sometimes I'm even the tank if there isn't a tank around.
And yes, the roll is random, however, the contribution bonus is strictly based on how much work you did. You have a better chance of winning if you contributed more yes; however, it still has a been of a random element to it.

Thanks, that did help. I'm chapter 2 and bought some gloves earier from the rally master in front of the Chapter 1 public quest, ye I don't know town names on here yet, lol. I'll say, the town near the purple dragon, haha.
Anyways, got some gloves by using influence on them. Now I'm trying to get enough to get those boots I want. It looks to only have about 3-4 items from the rally master, though. Does that change from town to town, to different items? or what? I don't mean to ask questions...I've looekd at guides and what not for public quests but they say the same ol same ol...you join in and u'll get people running by...just help and get influence and get loot from after getting done with the quests...lol
I would like to know if there's different rally masters and ...eh wth let me just stop asking questions and figure it all out...got the week to do it...I just hate not knowing where things are in a game haha...that's all. Guess it's part of the learning curve. Really enjoying the game though, I'll say that much.
I LOVE NOT HAVING TO USE MANA!!!!
P.S. sorry about the questions, lol. To be honest they are kind of noobish but hey, I get to say I'm a noob on this game...I think a lot of these players are. Some are just having better luck then me...maybe I should try other classes out...dunno really liking the zealot. We'll see how the next few days go. I'm done with the questions, lol. You answered enough and I'll just look around town more.
Wait 1 more question, are there rvr items? Items earned from pvp?
There is one Rally Master per Chapter. Later on, though, there are multiple PQs per chapter. You go around and complete the different PQs, gaining influence and loot. Once you have enough influence, you go to the rally master for that chapter. If the icon over his head is turquoise, you have enough influence to get a reward. There are three rewards tiers, with a certain amount of influence necessary to access that specific tier of reward. Each tier has a set of reward choices. The third/final tier has some item that's better then the normal drops but not as good as loot bags and renown gear, as far as I've seen. The rewards are different for each Rally Master and pertain to what level you are expected to be during that chapter of content.
Edit for Last Question: Yes, there are PvP rewards. There is a Warcamp for your race infront of the RvR area. Look on your map for the area surrounded by an orange aura, that's the Open RvR Area. Within the warcamp are Renown Gear Merchants. They sell gear that is usable bassed off of level and Renown Rank. The best armor I got from the tier one Renown Merchant was Lv9/RR6 - Chest Armor.
The loot bags at the end of a PQ are a random BONUS not a right - The reward from doing PQ's is xp and influence - the influence gets you some pretty good gear - better than most of the gear that randomly drops at the end of a pq (except of course if a rare bag drops)
Awesome, thank you for the answers! Helped alot in finding out more on the Public Quest and loot.
Dont know if it was said or not, but try finding a PQ group as well, you will gain influence alot faster.
I usually go in an start inviting everyone to my party in which I turn it into a Warband (I keep the WB active for at least 4 redo's of the PQ). This is also a good way of making money cause alot of people just want to kill and not loot.
Also pickup Scavenging skill early (scavenge your partys kills), you will have enough coin by the time your level 11 to purchase gear and weapons.
And as stated, I wouldnt worry too much about the Loot Bags in the early PQ's.. They are nice, but you get decent gear as many have said in this post, just by getting influence (and going to the Rally Master). If you get a Loot Bag.. BONUS! But if you don't I wouldnt sweat it.
You get just as much contribution points if you heal then if you try to out damage those dps classes. In fact do yourself a favor and try just healing in PQ's and watch as you A.) Earn lots of points and B.) Draw aggro from the last PQ boss when you over heal.

I'm dissapointed, I was expecting photos.
Mne eto nado kak zuby v zadnitse.
Oh I did that. That leads me to another question. I was healing the whole damn time, boss came up to me and in 3 hits I was done. I respawned, came back, GOT +89 BONUS. I was pissed and was wondering why it was so low. When you die, does it reset when you come back? Is it better to do party quests as an actual party? instead of being the solo man out? does that help?

Were you there for all the stages of the PQ? Also were you grouped with other people in a Open PQ raid group? You are better off grouping in a Open PQ raid group then going solo IMHO.

Sometimes it resets you and also healing can still pull a lot of agro - make sure you use the in game feedback/bug tools to let mythic know that you are getting a lot of heal agro

Ye, I'm going to start grouping up now that you told me that. Thanks. Better for everyone too. Atleast if we don't get loot at the end, we'll get coins for loot later + influence etc...
I was there throughout the whole stage...killed 3 different selections total...2 then the 3 bosses came up and we owned them and then got to roll...but one of them got to me and i died....it was wierd and it pissed me off...I didn't understand it to be honest cause I healed the whole time in that pq. Was solo btw. Going to party from now on.
I feel kind of bad now. My chosen and witch elf. Always rank in the top 4 on PQ's. Think i'll skip trying a healer this time.
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
In case no one has said it yet, you're chance of finishing "in the loot" on PQs gets better the longer you stay at the PQ. So, if you stay and do the same PQ 3 times in a row, you'll have a much better chance of being in the loot on the 3rd one, then you did on the first. That's not to say that you have less of a chance on the first, just that you have more of a chance the longer you stay.
I forget the exact mechanics behind this progressiveness in PQs, but I believe you have a few points tacked onto your bonus. I will say that the reward system in place for PQs has been the topic of much debate all through beta, but after MANY hours taking part in them, it really IS very fair. Sometimes you can be the top contributor, and get a shitty roll and finish out of the loot, but more often then not when you are in the top 5 for contribution, you will get loot. What it comes down to is everyone that truly contributes to the PQ has a chance at the loot, and the people that contribute more have a slightly higher chance at it. It really doesn't get much fairer then that.
Funny because I can easily rank in the top 1-4 spots by just healing alone or balancing both dps and healing as a Warrior Priest or Disciple of Khaine. You just need to know how to play your class and how PQ's work in general.

Yeah ive been doing decent at PQ, I got 2nd in the 2nd chapter Greenskins as a Shaman. I really didn't have to heal all that much.
Never knew that your chance increases. I do know the faster you kill, the more xp you get, which is a neat little addition to warhammer I like. Many little things on here that I really do like. It's always the small things that count.
I agree with you but for some odd ball reason, I see healers not getting so much contribution when I myself, am healing like crazy and yet always making below the top 10. Reason I think is because we got these guys throwing out major dps against these mobs and they are making the top 10.
You would think with us healing we would get more contribution because there's more people attacking monsters, however we can heal heal heal as people need it. Therefore, giving us a better chance at doing more for the group, if you know what I'm saying..sometimes it's the case atleast. I didn't type that exactly the correct way but w/e.
I just see healers getting less points for healing then those doing the dps are getting, when really they are doing the same amount of work...hard to explain and to me, it's kind of a complicated system. Learning it to the core is key, lol. It's probably as fair as it can get, I just need to learn the system and work my character better with the pq system.
I'll keep working on my skills and try to work different ways to see which works better for my character. Whether it be healing the whole time, doing dps and healing, or just doing dps...which zealots throw out...eh fair to shitty dps. lol, but that's the way it should be because they are pretty good when it comes to healing.
