I just woke up from a dream of watching MSNBC and seeing Jedi Obama fight Sith of the Republican army. Now somthin told me not to play Jedi Outcast II before I went to bed, I'm sorry, but it was weird...and kinda cool. So I just thought we could get some discussion around this. Obama might be a Jedi...

But John McCain, who of all people should be the the most vehement opponent of the use of torture by the United States imaginable, seeing as he's suffered so much fom it himself, to be virutally silent about it and to ultimately cave in to the malassministration's use of it casually because it helps his political ambition, is most definitely NOT a Jedi.
The cloud of the Dark Side surrounds that one, and so too surrounds his running mate, as she uses her own pregnant daughter as a human shield to deflect scruitiny of the circumstances surrounding the birth of her own 4 month old son.

I'm no Starwars dork and I don't feel like wasting to much time searching for them so you'll have to help me with the names. It depends on how you look at it.
Senator Palpateen(sp) was supposed to be the savior of the republic. I'd say Obama fits that role more then McCain and we all now know who senetor Palpateen(sp) actually was.
No seeing as if you wanted to start a new. McCain would be Palpateen seeing as he claims he will bring change as Palpatine claims in Episode 1 but is actually setting the Republic ( USA ) up for more turmoil. Soon it becomes the Empire as we Conquer the whole world in claims that the rest of the world is Terrorist because for some reason you say Terrorist in the USA and you get cheers no matter what the problem truely maybe. Like Cipher said on the Matrix "Ignorace is Bliss"

and obama isn't our jedi because our jedi will come from Europe or another nation seeing as they will be the terrorist forces.

Bush isn't smart enough to fit Palpatines role. McCain isn't charismatic enough to fill the role. Obama has the charisma and seams to be intelligent. Since none of them have this evil secret plot to rule the world (well I guess only rational people believe this). I'd say Obama still fits the role better.
Ok, I know that this thread is sort of tongue-in-cheek (so far) but even so it is a symptom of something that has always annoyed me and, honestly, helps to polarize my own political views.
What I'm talking about is that there is an element in the left wing of America that always, always, tries to claim that the current republican president or presidential candidate is some kind of monster scheming to destroy the world. You guys may be joking around but there are people who are quite serious and quite insane in their insistance about this sort of thing. Of course it never turns out to be true but they conveniently forget that they were wrong every time and jump on the doomsday bandwagon again with the next republican president.
I'm not sure when this started but I remember people saying this kind of crap about Ronald Reagan. I remember a guy very seriously telling me that Reagans' first, middle, and last names all had six letters, 666, therefore he obviously was the anti-christ and would initiate armageddon.
I really get so sick of this crap. And I hope you guys realize that when left wing nuts spout this kind of crazyness it does not help at all to swing fence straddlers to your side. I suppose I shouldn't give you advice but having this sort of wacky insanity associated with your side only pushes people away.

Naw Obama is more like the Senotar of Aldaron. Means good but still lets the chaos happen and does nothing. Creates the Reballion (considered terrorist groups to the republicans) after he notices what he has done indirectly and helps destory the Empire in a indirect way.

It sounds nice but if you read what it lets the Law do you will see how its straight Empire tactics 101. I dont really want to belive that there wasnt any plan but WTC building #7 falling and the hitting of the Pentagon from a so called flying under the Radar attack is near impossible. Lets even roll the time back before 9/11 and lets see you fly near the Pentagon with out codes to enter airspace and see if you get near the pentagon. So there are little details that can let you persume but im not one to preach think what you want i do thats what makes this Republic so Great.

Just FYI I was in Basic training at the time so don't think i never did my duty more then the rest of you can say on the site. I did believe what i was told that day and did for awhile. Then you see something and start to think. Hmm Pentagon attacked WTF ( and a part thats underconstuction also i might add) Last time i checked the pentagon is Very Well Protected VS any attack minus a Nuclear one. Then WTC build # 7 just falls for no apparrent reason. Then the patriot act just took a month to get approved and not one of the Congress members who approved it Read it. Then we goto war with Afganistan which last time I checked Saudia Arbians were the orchestra for the Attack. Now everyone is scared of Terrorist when As americans we shouldn't be afraid of nothing. Fear leads to hate which has happened and the people who just say hey take another look into this get called nuts. Whatever If im a nut then your just silly puddy.
And also something must have not seemed right for anyone to think that there was a plan to 9/11. No has ever said the war in vietnam was orchestarted by the US, No one has said the Attack on Pearl Harbor was orchestrated by the US so that we can join the fight.
