People are completely inept when it comes to computers? I don't know, I only have issues once in a while and rarely are they detrimental.
There are several reasons games could be crashing. One of the major issues are junk that people have installed on their computers. A virus can cause major stability issues. Crappy drivers could also have a major issue with games.
Edit : As a side note, if you have an Nforce board WAR has a known issue with the boards network card. This causes CTDs and unplayable amounts of lag.

Just like the Anti-Funcom campaign. I see something similar already developing against WAR. Im afraid this may be the 'honeymoon' period for MMOs ..the time before release. After release it seems a lot of players prefer to flame

I am not a Warhammer fan. I wasn't previously planning to buy it but I've been trying it a bit and I've no lag, no crashes and it runs great when I can get on a server. I may actually end up picking this game up, dammit.
Gods, all of this is creating such a Deja Vu in my head.
I still hope the Warhammer guys get their game they deserve and that Mythic pulls through, unlike a certain other company which doesn't comprehend the word PR if you shove a dictionary up their collective noses.

Even with console games these days there’s no guarantee of stability.
Since the new consoles all have HDDs developers are doing the same thing as they do with computer games. . .they release it half completed and patch is later.

Same here, I wasn't even interested in WAR before playing it. Now I think I'm hooked, I doubt I would have even played it at all if MMORPG.com didn't get their hands on some keys.

And the fanboys out there that praise a game no matter how bad it is, are the very reason why these developers keep pushing out these HALF-COMPLETED PILES OF HORSE DUNG!
Meanwhile the Product Managers like Erling Ellingsen are sitting back laughing at how foolish we are while they light their cigars with all of the money they conned out of us.
There are bugs but I see them being minor to be honest. They can be quite annoying. From a crash every once in a blue moon to a jerk in the graphics, they get on my nerves. However, are very small bugs from what I've seen. Yes, they do need to be fixed. However, do not TRULLY affect gameplay (Now I will say, the one where you are party questing and sometimes the mobs say "unattackable", those can be quite annoying bugs and do affect gameplay). Atleast the ones I've encountered up to almost level 8 now. I'm sure there are ones I've never seen or heard of, but to be expected in beta. I know it's close to release, but I'm sure eventually these things will get fixed. I'm sure they have other things to deal with at the moment. I'm sure when patches come out they'll have these oh so annoying bugs fixed in those patches.

I think WAR is a great game and I have been having a blast playing it so far. The best advice I can give anyone, is to definitely give the game a try for yourself! You don't want to miss a game like this because you read some bad posts on these forums.
Don't get me wrong, I like this site but these forums are filled with people who just like bash games they have never played or have only played for a very short period of time.
Instead of picking every game apart, just have fun playing the game!
There is nothing at all wrong with the progress of the game Warhammer itself, they have been doing a very good job. They listen to the players, throw out the fixes (some work, some don't), and have not done a terrible job with anything in-game so far.
Most of the nonsense you hear on the forums is basically someone wanting to get into beta but keeps having complications with thier computer/codes/goa. Most have reasons to be upset, but others are just...... By God I want my beta now!...... RIGHT NOW!..... Give me my bloody game!!!1!!!1! /cry /pout
The other posts you hear about the in-game content are 90% of the time hate posts that offer nothing at all. Most are made up of "The PvE is linear" (no shit, its an MMO), "PvP is Boring" (oh really? why?), and "The graphics and sound are stupid." (oh ok, explain) There is no depth to these arguements, and the majority of them are just..... trollating.
To conclude in troll fashion, "Omg, it's my opinion Don't go all crazy on me, Geez!"
I don't like the game because its too much like WOW and its too easy.
My friend just got the chance to play the beta last night and he played for 5 mins and said the combat animations sucked and quit. He used to be a WOW play as his first mmorpg and then moved onto EVE because he likes the market.
On the first day, you may think, Hmn, this game is ok. I assure you, if you picked a class you enjoy, by the second day.. well you'll be salvating as much as many of us.

LOL He didn't like the combat animations in a BETA and quit!? So, he picked up the first quest killed a couple level 1 things and said nah!? These are the main type of people that actually ruin the genre.

don't play it if you don't like it

I've had one crash all weekend; the game plays great for me.
These boards are full of drama queens & delusional DFO fans.
WAR is a top-notch game and will be very successful.
GOA's mishandling of a couple or three days of beta has nothing to do with the quality of the game.
Its called a beta, and there will always be issues to work through prior to, during and even after release.
You want stability, recommend you consider playing console games.

Uh, WTF are you talking about. I don't see 10+ pages of anything you mentioned at any forum site.

Your fail comment, failed.
No it's not 10+ pages of bugs, it's the same problems repeated 10+ times.

Be patient.
There's only a few bugs and they're being repeated by everyone. Therefore it stands to reason that next week it will be fine.

I just don't get how someone can play for 5 minutes and like or dislike a game?!
You can't even begin to scratch the surface of what the game offers in that amount of time.
On the first day, you may think, Hmn, this game is ok. I assure you, if you picked a class you enjoy, by the second day.. well you'll be salvating as much as many of us.
