Spending time in the scenarios and rvr something has become exceedingly clear with Warrior Priest...THEY DON'T FREAKING HEAL!! I know your class has the word warrior in it but your main job is a healer, that means you toss some heals every which way. You are not a DPS class stop acting like it!
After spending many hours in the scenarios and on RvR field, I saw only 1 warrior priest actually do some healing. In scenarios where a bright wizzard or witch hunter has put out more healing than the priest is a sad sad day.
So if you do not want ot heal and just dps than please pick another class, we need people who really want to heal and not just themselves.

I think that's the point of the class. To heal you need to fight, if you dont fight you can't heal.
WP's and DoK's are hard to play well. They have to constantly pick two targets. Offensive and defensive. They run out of power to heal if they don't hit someone.
By the way I love killing WPs with my tank.
This pretty much sums it up. You cannot heal without action points, you get them by fighting.. when you run out of action points, all you can do is attack to get more... I think you should try playing a Warrior Priest before telling everyone how to play it. WP's can actually lay some wood too.
I play a runepriest and I heal all the time. I hate it when I do heal other people bitch about how I dont. If those type of people keep that crap up I guarantee you, the Empire will soon see a severe lack of healers.

Every time I've seen this, I've been on top of healing.
Yesterday I had someone in the scenario going on about how the two Witchhunters had higher healing, and yet I was on top.
Warrior Priests HAVE to fight. They can only heal so much then they are useless if they aren't fighting. Perhaps you should play a warrior priest so you understand how they work, before deciding how others are playing.
Also, I think the stats on scenarios are fucked up, I have no idea how a witch hunter could 'heal' so much damage. I played one for a while, don't remember having any heals.
What the game needs is a way to switch between friendlies like tab for enemies. It's pretty hard to do heals on specific people, when you can't target them easily. Sure, in your group is fine, but usually that's not who needs a heal.
I cannot count the number of times I thought I was healing myself, and had some other guy on defensive target. The other problem with heals are the effects are minimal. Hell most of the time I can't tell if someone has been healed (enemy) because the graphic is pretty much nonexistant. I only know they are being healed because they aren't dying...

people are still stuck in the holy trinity mentality, hence they don't understand how healers work in WAR. First of all, all healers fight. PERIOD!
I play a Gork Shaman so can't speak for the Warrior Priest but I'm not a healbot. I nuke the crap out of people and when I have 5 Waaagh build up I find myself the biggest near death Black Orc and insta big heal him. Also people who have low health and make an effort to run into my field of vision will receive healing. If you want healbots - play WoW. You will find few here. In fact a healer who is doing nothing but healing is not doing his job - simple!
There is a reason why alchemy is one of only 2 tradeskills in the game - pack some potions. I'm not saying rely on them exclusively but don't expect to run into a crowd of enemies with no backup and expect random people to heal you.
Don't get me wrong in a Heroic PvE encounter I'll go heal mode on the MT but for RvR it's face-melting time with heals for myself and those who protect my squishy face. I'm not wasting AP on dumbasses who single rush the enemy lines.
Dude just wants to be a healbot, well my friend it doesn't work that way in WAR, at least for that class it doesn't. If you want that play a healbot than roll one, a runepriest for example, does nothing much but heal and doesn't have to dps to increase healing powers like warriorpriest does.
Check out my video of me RvRing in a scenario at level 3. I manage to get 2nd place in most healing for the whole scenario and still ended up doing decent damage.

rofl, have you actually played a WP? I didn't think so. it's not as easy as you think. There is no such thing as a healbot. The WP can't just ' toss some heals every which way'. He actually has to fight to gather the power to heal. So yes he has to get medieval and 'DPS' to heal.
Second, if you don't know the 'healer' or he isn't making a point of watching out for you, don't expect regular heals if at all. If I'm still learning a class my focus may be a bit narrow. thus I'd probably focus my healing on those in my party and maybe only few that I'm focusing on.
Lastly, maybe they don't WANT to play a healbot. maybe they want to play a different way. In which case, cease your whining. If you want heals, then play a healer or group up with a 'healer'. either way, feel free not to tell others how they should play. Your opinion is just that, an OPINION.

Crying because noone is healing you is really noob.
I mean, you are a warrior or at least you play one, and i dont mean the class. As a warrior you should look on your own survival first and then if you get lucky and someone else heals you... be happy and thankfull.
After all, there are a lot more where you came from so no one will care if you leave
You don't understand the intention of the devs, obviously. It has been stated numerous times that they did not create any class to be a utility class or support class. Each class will be able to handle their own. There are paths for Warrior Priests that wil have very little healing benefits. The fact is, just because someone is playing a class that has healing attributes it does not make them a healer. Dev's have stated this so many times! So don't expect someone to be a healer just because you feel they should. My shaman will not be going down the healing path at all!

Warrior Priests are emergency healers. Not really meant to heal non stop.

Stop yelling at Warrior Priests and start yelling at your Rune Priests or Archmages. WP's are kind of similar to Warrior/Monks in Guild Wars.....they're front line support. At best, we can maybe back up ONE person but an entire party? Not happening. Often, we're going to be busy spamming our stuff on our selves because we're getting ambushed because people know if we're too busy helping/healing someone else over ourselves, we're toast a lot faster than most tanks anyway.
I disagree with the "no healbots" and if you aren't doing damage you aren't playing right. As other said, the Zealot and Runepriest are the pure healers in the game, you don't have to damage to heal, and there is no healing benefit to damaging; except sucking down your AP. I always try to crossheal, but it is a pain when people just zerg and die, then you waste AP on someone who would have died even if 5 people were healing them.
But yes, the melee healing classes are a handful at first and most people are just trying them out for the most part, so give them a break. It is just open beta.
As for not getting healed, most people that I see complaining are the ones who run off from the group to go "solo" 3 BWs cuz they think they are playing some "other" game. We all know what happens then, you get the tome unlock the singed or something like that.

Even if they do have to fight, they shouldn't be out-healed by a magic user who probably just got his heal points from quaffing a heal pot or two... thats just wrong
im surly going healbot... i have played so long only mele and dammage caster classes in most games, that i think its relaxing and fun..
im healbot in WOW (dwarf priest) and going healbot in war (dwarf runepriest)
some people will call me a little carebear, but the pvpers arent mutch without one..
i dont fight, i heal.. hehe

I play a Disciple of Khaine myself, and everyone complains about me being on the front lines and not healing. Honestly, shouldn't you be focusing on the fight and not complaining about how I'm not healing you? Heck, I usually don't heal assholes that complain all the time or demand I heal them. I will actually stand next to them, and heal myself when they demand anything. Sure, we healers are different in WAR then other games, we have to be in the thick of it to even get juice to cast our spells, but one thing remains the same: Be nice to your healers or you're going to be dead the whole fight.
You can ask if I can heal you, you don't demand it. You ask if you can get a buff, you don't demand it. Honestly, it's not hard for me to find people to group with, healers have that luxury.
