Part of the reason most asian MMORPGs don't make it to America is that they'd have to translate it for us...While we don't have to do the same to send it over there.
Sure some of the big boys may translate into local languagtes...WoW. EQ2. Ectera...But for a large part Asians who play internet games speak English to some degree. Thus haveing an 'Asian Port' of a MMORPG is simply a matter of redesigning the box and shipping it and paying co-location fees. It's must more espensive to translate everything into english.
I dont think it's really known whether or not Shenmue Online is coming to the U.S. Considering Shenmue 1 and 2 came to America, I see no reason for them to keep the MMORPG from us. It's all up in the air at the moment though.

this game is at least not as transh as L2~ way better. (BTW, i play L2 for 3 month and got a lv58
char at TW server, after that, I played the close beta 1 of this one for a month.)
but... yes, the pruducer probably don't have enough money to make it execute in NA.
Anyway, That not all the good games come to America is ture. I really cant figure out why some
"games from Mars" are still running in NA, but the players in NA servers are nice....
For U.S games, I only appriciated "shadowbane". (the graphic are trash anyway)

This game looks pretty cool like the chinese version of pirates of the burning sea mixed with world of pirates and seadogs... If it plays as good as it looks id love it. We need more pirate mmorpgs. Id love to see an NA version of this in the future.

This game is basically a naval based MMORPG and its not trash... Players can choose between 2 means of advancement, combat and commerce. As players get richer from running trade routes or piracy, they can upgrade their boats, weapons and crew. If i'm not wrong there is country/factional naval warfare as well. Like what the topic says, its in closed beta atm and alot of things are still being implemented/fixed. Because of the heavy emphasis on commerce in this game i'd say its something like a naval version of EVE-Online
GZmask: I'm chinese and i've had no luck in entering the closed beta. I'd be more than willing to join your guild if you could provide me with an account

Anyone get this to work i downloaded the client changed my ini file as directed and i keep getting an error not sure what it is but its definitly not working for me
I was really looking forward to trying this game out.
Im running athlon xp 1800+ 9600xt
i know i meet the min requirements let me know if you can help me with this thanks
