Swapping US key for an EU one.

Hey. First things first, I hope this isn't against the rules. If it is, I apologise - and don't hesitate to delete the thread if it's breaking the rules.

You might want to ask me, WHY do I want to go on the EU servers when GOA clearly can't do their job? Well, because thats where my friends are playing. I don't want to be alone in the US servers that's all. I'm sure GOA will streighten up when the game launches, settles down and whatnot.

Anyway, been trying to get a key for a while - and now I finally have one, I just found out it's for the US version. DOH!

So would anyone like to swap, my US key - for an EU key? Not sure how we'll do this but PM me if you're interested.

I thought maybe alot of people would want to do this, since alot of Europeans want to get on the US side.

EDIT: Hold on a second... How do we even register on the EU site? When you click the "code" tab, after you input your information, there's no confirm button or anything like that.

It's the revolutionary teleprojectional registration service, you have to want it really, really bad.

    lol, what?

So hang on, I'm guessing this means, I put in my details, put in my beta key, then... It will automaticly accept without me knowing if it has or not? Not telling me if I succeded or failed?

EDIT: Also, is a beta-key also a HeadStart key? Because if it isn't - Then I may aswell just play the US Open Beta and wait untill it releases here? I cancelled my pre-order of the game just incaseof.... You know. This is my chance of playtesting it.

So is the beta key the same as a headstart key or not? Will a beta-key get me into the headstart is what I'm asking?

Adam: At the moment you do not register to EU site. The account registration service has been temporarily down for maintenance since Sunday evening, with no ETA given when it's fixed.

The last ETA GOA gave to us was that they'd give us an update of the situation this morning. They failed even that ETA, and were't capable or skilled enough to tell us anything about what's happening in there.

GOA - A company who just failed to keep their promise to provide us information of their most recent failure.

    Ah, thankyou.

The impression I got, was they just put the account management service offline - to free up data for the code registration? No? Is the code registration not working, then?

Their code registration is "working", if you count "there's a chance it'll work, but most likely not, just keep trying and ultimately it may work" as "working".

But only for those who already have an existing account on their website.

EDIT: From what I've heard, the confirmation that your code registration succeeded will arrive to your e-mail. And the way to get it succeed is to spam those code registration attempts until you get the confirmation e-mail. Or you can just send one attempt, and start waiting or hoping. It either may work or may not work /EDIT

if you have a account set up already at the eu warhammer site then if you go to this link you can activate your code http://www.war-europe.com/#/activation/ and await a email that they say should be under a hour but 20 hrs later the vast majority still dont have the email.

if you dont have a account already set up then you are completely screwed and cant create a account and god knows when that side of things will be back up.

Stay where you are on the US side of things n get your friends to come over there.

Would you realy trust GOA with your bank card details when you have seen how inept they realy are.

Heh, thanks for the advice guys. Sounds like GOA are shitting on Europeans again.

It all sounds like too much hasstle for me - Just to get into a 1 week beta. I'll just go to my friends house and watch over his shoulder. :P

Cheers for the info guys. :)

EDIT: Yeah I do have an account over there already, but still. It's too much crap to go through for such a short beta. Heck, I don't even have a key. Forget it. :) Thanks again for the advice.

TBH every MMO treat the EU like second class citizens always been the same I cant think of a single launch where the EU didnt have massively more probs than US servers.

Heh. I gave up on the European OB and got my friends to hook me up with the NA OB.

    Cyah in Hell EUROPE OB!

  • Adam1902Adam1902 Member UncommonPosts: 537

Yeah, because the main companys are located in the US. Also, in the US customer standards are much higher than in the EU, everyone knows that. We don't have feedback boxes outside stores in Europe where we can leave feedback like I've seen over there.

Thats just the way life is as a Euro I guess.  :P

Lets let this thread die, it's pointless now, hehe. :)
