I was mad at GoA.. But since I have finally gotten to play I am planting roots.. There are tons of ways to level.. From questing to dico to public quests to Rvr... Haven’t gotten bored yet.. Oh and RvR.. OMG I was giggling so much! My BF got jealous that I managed to get in and he is waiting still.. I could be nice and let him make a char.. But um.. NO! Anyway I am keeping my preorder.. I am happy with the game.. Such a relief after AoC.. I am going to just deal with GoA.. They can’t stay horrid forever right?
I cancelled my pre-order. But I just pre-ordered to get to try the open beta. Had some hopes that this game could be fun eventhough a bit too much PVP focused for my taste. The leveling is easy and takes very little time. You are offered multiple ways of character advancement. This is an MMO game. What you describe to want isn't an MMO so I don't know how you should feel let down. You came into it knowing the basic system and fault it for that.

However after getting one of those 10k beta keys they gave out here and playing for a few hours, I went ahead and put myself down for a copy. Not 100% sure if i'll play it after the free month, but right now I am having a blast with it and it can at least hold me over until Fallout 3/Fable 2.

I have not know about warhammer prior to the mmorpg.....and the game is far from my ideal mmorpg (I miss my swg)....but it's got one of the best rvr/pvp systems i have ever played..and that alone is worth the price to me
I canceled. I only fell for the hype a little but(not as much as AoC), but upon trying out the game in preview weekend, I found it to be just another boring level based/class based/fantasy based MMO. Been there, done that way too many times before. Very little about the game is new or exciting at all.
But, I found an awesome game to play instead. Eve. Too bad I couldn't get into it earlier.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike Loved: Star Wars Galaxies Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
I canceled... I know it's not the popular thing to do but I am going to wait a couple of months to see how the game improves and if they keep improving like they did in beta it should be pretty good.
Absolutely not. All the hooplaa is mostly from pissed europeans and wow fan's who have invested too much time in that game to ever think of moving.
Other than that I have had not a single technical issue with the game and have thus far greatly enjoyed both pve and seamless rvr aspects of the game and the graphics looks fine to me too. For players who enjoy pvp in a mmo setting without the gankfest this game is very well executed.
I am having more fun in an MMO than I have had in quite a few years. In fact, I have not been this excited over an MMO since UO and EQ! I love this game, period.
i havnt, because i want that CE box..i just adore all the stuff you get with em, the art etc. even if im now playing on US instead..heh
and after a week you will wish you spent the 50 dollars like the rest of us =P. CE i could never get that i got it once and that was for Mass Effect because i wanted to see the making of and all that good stuff but now its just a orniment on my shelf collecting dust and i wish i didnt waste my extra money becaue i dont feel i got a extra 10 dollars worth of merchandise.

if you think a better game than this is going to come out in the next 2-3 years , your wrong. anyone who's been following mmorpg's religiously for awhile, and has tried this game, knows that to be fact.
is it my dream game, no. but that game will probably never get made.
I must have died about 12 times over the weekend doing public quests by mobs that were on top of me and could hit me while i get the message "out of range". Pathing is not an area thing it is rampant problem throughout the game. Fixable? Yep. Willing to wait for it? Nope. RvR had my interest until i played and found this isn't much different then WoW. Levels are a HUGE advantage and renowned geared players will drop a pve geared players quick. This isn't that big of a problem (gear wise) since the game is defined by PvP. But it doesn't strike me as "oh my god clever" as some people make it out to be.
I had some fun with crafting and world pvp when it was around but again, its not that big of a deal to make me want to buy the game right now. I know plenty of people like it but it just didn't hook me.
I know that isn't the popular view but its what i've gotten out of time with WAR. Back to WoW never but i sure am glad its football season.
The game rocks... All the hate the have now are from peeps who pissed about GOA right now, and WoW, AoC fanbois jump along so it seems like alot of peeps dont like the game, its not like that at all, lots of the EU servers and US servers are full allready, and ingame peeps are happy, and like the game alot. GOA doesn't affect me, I hate WoW, I don't like AoC, I'm a DAoC and UO vet, and I'm not enjoying WAR. So no, it's not only those people who don't enjoy the game.

If they had told me I couldn't get into OB or HS Id still keep my CE pre-order for all the kick ass stuff it comes with. I have never EVER had this much fun in the starting zones in any other mmo. In all othe mmos its just, *ugh* another grind to end game. But with WAR knowing after just 11 levels of awesome RvR I get keep battles which are even mor amazing.
Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

It grudge slams it into submission, I never ever pre order Collectors editions, but I gladly shelled out the money for this,

Don't see why I would cancel the best game i've played in a long time. I havn't had this much fun since Everquest 1.
